A really enjoyable episode. Prospero Hall have done it again. What a team. Many thanks.
That ad for Pan Am on the back of the rulebook is actually kind of a brilliant touch. Good job, marketing team!
Is this game good one too?
Haha, Dave, you are a diamond!
Fabulous show. Mike has a gorgeous grin and a positive energy to match!
Thanks!
Wow! Great job on solving and on day 3. Really enjoy watching you guys play.
I think the trunk for unused pieces is a reference to Hitchcock movie "Rope" where a body is hidden in a trunk.
I posted this a couple months ago (and got a BGG♥in response!) but figured it wouldn't hurt to make the suggestion again. I think the GameNight crew should make a video of their own personal top ten favorite games list! They should! After all, you have been playing scads of board games on YT for years now, and I'm sure your followers would love to know which ones would make your final cut. Those lists are very popular in the hobby, as you know. So how 'bout it?! Each 'regular' (Lincoln, Nikki, Dave, & Aaron) should compile their own personal lists independently, and not share them with each other until the reveal on the GameNight Top Ten video. I know making such a video would require some work, but I think it's an idea that's worth it!👏👏
First of all yay to Mike, always fun with him. Second, love games with a interpretation element to it, also find it interesting how it could possibly twist with the murder part 😁❤️
Fabulous video, very well done. An avid Hitchcock fan, I was on the fence with buying this one. Essentially, I was hoping for two things: 1) that the game didn't somehow ruin the movie experience (looks like it doesn't), and 2) that good game design would allow for flexibility and inspire the players to play more than just once (looks like it does). I suppose that watching the movie helps with logic and choices a wee bit, but not much. ;-) I'm guessing I've seen the movie 50+ times. Yep, it's my personal fave.
I was thinking exactly as the players. The 4th window “heartbreak” makes sense to me. If you can see all the cards are gray there, so there is connection by the Collor (and the heartbreak tile is also gray as I can see) apart from what Sarah (female, sorry if I missed the name) said: there is also a figure is missing in all the cards.
I actually thought it was a photographer at day 2 😂 don’t know why. (I also thought it could be green couple because of the Collor on the wall) But when the green couple had shown I switched my guess. It’s a shame Director’s player didn’t explained all the logic behind his decisions
Just purchased this game, so I'm so glad to see this playthrough. Rear Window is my favorite Hitchcock film...had to get the game! Lincoln, I thought the same thing. Grace Kelley and Jimmy Stewart, and even Raymond Burr on the cover...spot on art, but the other Characters do not look like the actors. Thanks for the fun playthrough, as always.
"Either it's jewelry, wine, or pie."
Ah yes, that common dilemma.
I would be SOOoooo... bad at this game, maybe not as bad as Dave's Hitchcock, but bad nonetheless.
Actually, that was a bit of a joke, "Hitchcock" wasn't too bad at all, I was pretty impressed with that impression. However, if I was to play this game, there would definitively be a murder in it as the other players would kill me.
Terrific video as always guys, I can't think of a better way of relaxing after work, on a cold, dark, rainy night, than watching you showing us how to play a board game... excellent!
This looks really fun. I like the mastermind style "how many did you get right" mechanic a lot. I could see this going over well with a variety of different groups. I haven't seen anyone talking about this game so thanks for showing it!
Another great episode guys! You did so well. Thanks for the company.
I guessed after day 2!! The globetrotter was my only guess. Looks like a fun game!
Beautiful episode 👏
I'm not sure whether Dave's doing an impression of Alfred Hitchcock or James Stewart in the intro. Or is it maybe a strange amalgam of both?! 😂
Another great game, have never heard of this one before. I appreciate your videos, always inspiring! Thank you so much! 👍👍
Love to see Mike on this videos. Welcome back.
Thanks!
Great video. I don't think Dave should have announced "Cut" when he changed cards. Page 7 of the rules says the Director is not allowed to say anything. However, for the sake of the video audience, I can see him saying it in order to tell the audience what's going on.
It's no news but hearing Dave talk about his strategy for playing the Miss Torso card face down in Day 1 (@45:20) I have to say HE SMART!!! until then I thought the reason he played that card face down was because in the introduction sequence for the couple in the movie, they closed the curtain.
I was so convinced Nikki was right about D being heartbroken!
So ecstatic you are covering this game! Thanks!! Do you think it will be in the library at BGG Spring Con?
We had at least one copy at BGG.CON 2022, which just ended today, so yes, it should be available at BGG.Spring 2023 as well. -WEM
Hoooray! Though I guess it will be checked out frequently, steadily.
