    Matrix have landed probably one of the best commercial anglers of this decade. Excellent video Jamie.

    Lovely video Jamie and matrix. It's been a most excellent Friday evening with most of my favourite YOU tube anglers posting vids it's what Friday evening was made for. Thanks everyone

    I woke up in pain and found this gem! Not got a super long pole then you must watch this. It is so gratifying to see Jamie adopting this way of fishing because I have been doing this for quite a few years now and have tried to show people this method. In my humble opinion it beats the long pole on windy days when even with a flagship model it is difficult to hold the bait still. I use a size 20 Drennan carp feeder hook and on natural waters I use braid simply because it is supple. When I want no feed I use a little coffin lead fished in line and free running so it won’t roll down the slope or a tiny method/ banjo type feeder when I need to put some feed in. Thank you Matrix for uploading this video, who knows it might give more anglers the confidence to try it out and might cure those suffering from ‘poleitis’!. Cheers Bill

    Another Jamie Hughes masterclass! He did touch on; “I don't know what’s definitely going on under the water” - maybe the Maxtrix cameras can at some point go under the surface?

    It's not just the point of doing something different Jamie the main matter of the fact is that there is not a stick of carbon with a toss pot waving over the heads of fish in the clear water conditions most fisheries have at this time of year.
    Good upload buddy 👍

    Hi Jamie, a great video as always its nice to see you using a running line approach and some great tips, underhand swinging casting is not as easy as you make it look and done wrongly is a great recipe for tangles, ps how are you getting on with your new matrix pole? 👍👍

    Is it possible for the feeder to land the wrong way up on the lake bed so the pellet is hidden? Just one thing that crossed my mind when burying pellet in the feeder.

    just a quick ? am i alright to fit a side puller kit into top kits which don't have a reinforced part or addition to the pole kit.

    • @Monkeemagik
      @Monkeemagik 5 років тому +1

      I wouldn’t advise you do it. Get the section reinforced. You could do it yourself with a carbon mods kit or expect to pay £15 to £20ish from a pro

    Did Jamie put the pellet in the band and then actually put the hook in the band rather than having the hook tied onto a hair. It’s quite difficult to see in the video.

    Are the feeders your using on the market yet?

    • @ifishmatrix
      @ifishmatrix  5 років тому

      Geoff Lukins yes they’re in shops now. They were launched last year. You can check them out on the fish matrix website. They’re called Open Method Feeders. You can pick them up from any Matrix stockist.

      It looked like a Preston ICS small feeder. You can see the line slot in the back of the feeder about 13 mins

    Im surprised he hasn't got terrible line twist from reeling in whilst his drag is going. Rookie error by the best f1 angler bar none.

    • @robertcourt8593
      @robertcourt8593 5 років тому +1

      I'd be interested to know more about this subject. Like you I've always been led to believe that winding against a slipping clutch will cause loads of line twist but I see loads and loads of superb anglers doing it. Is the twist thing one of those old fashion myths or so these anglers just feel the benefits outweigh the negatives?

    • @sillybait1329
      @sillybait1329 5 років тому +1

      I never wind against the drag,a nightmare can result from doing so not really noticeable till you have a bit of slack and the line spins around your rod tip which if unnoticed will damage or break it

    • @patrickwalker2509
      @patrickwalker2509 5 років тому +1
