I thought Kurbanov did enough to win. Smith did land well at times, but Kurbanov counterpunched well, hit back whenever Smith landed a shot, & kept his work-rate up throughout the fight.
The 117 - 112 card was too wide, but the two scores of 115 - 113 for Kurbanov had it right.
Kurbanov has a nice skill where he moves his head with the flow of the punch, so it won't hit him flush.
Looking forward to Kurbanov vs Madrimov in a few days - in Saudi Arabia.🥊

1:02:55 could the ref have been any more on Kurbanov’s side? He even made sure he got acknowledgment and a hug from him before he let go of his hand after the fight. All those warnings for holding without any deductions…
