Yes the back seats in a 79 dual cab, or any vehicle, are rarely useful particularly for just a couple. Main reason we chose a 79 single cab as you have better weight distribution over the rear axle and get a larger canopy for all your crap. 😉😁
And we’ve certainly got lots of crap LOL 😂…. Not sure yet which way we’re going to go but we’re going to look at single cabs but not sure if there will be enough leg room 🤩
A very good overview of your setup . We admire you for travelling in this manner although we do realise and have watched all your travels with your caravan . Unlike some viewers we do get your banter and thoroughly enjoy it , adds humour to your videos . Will be really be interested in what is next for you both with your travels . ???? An Oka !!!!!!
Thank you so much, glad you get our humour. I think said person has never watched our videos so we’re not too bothered by their comment. An Okka sounds interesting, we’re definitely keeping all our options open, really not sure at all what we’re going to do 👍🤩
Exciting times ahead! When we had the Hilux, we did removed the back seats… it gave us tonnes of space! We use to put the seat back when we were back home!
We use a hokey strap (elastic strap with hook at either end) and connect to holes where the gas struts are thread the hand towel through and use elastic band to secure. and use rest of strap to put the tea towels and secure with clothes pegs. :-)
Wow you guys been a lot of places in 4 months good insight , I guess a van or truck , I would want inbetween to I couldn’t tow and I would like some wear to hide from bugs or weather
I bought an On-Tap jerry for the back of my canopy. It holds 20L of water, has an internal pump and used garden hose fittings. Its a great shower or wash-off of dirt/sand/salt. They only cost ~$100
Expedition style? I have always like the idea of them compared to driving a truck with a big van behind. Look forward to seeing what you go for and where you go. We want to ship our new set up OS and do some travel but not sure we will be able to due to $
Will definitely be going expedition style but not sure what yet… I know what you mean, the $$$$ soon drift away LOL 😂 We look forward to seeing what you do next…
Do you ever synchronize your Simarine monitor to your Lithium battery when it’s full charged? I do, but my battery blue tooth app shows the battery SOC 5-25% less than the Simarine SOC after a couple of days. Drives me nuts because the BMS on the battery will shutdown when the Simarine shows 50% SOC. I must have an unidentified discharge….

We added K Mart draws in the back seat for our clothes. Helps to keep them organised and easier access
That sounds like a great idea, thank you 🤩
Cool Ep and set up guys
Thank you 🤩

We are going to look at lots of different ideas, we’ve looked at a few others while we’re on the road but we’re still none the wiser LOL 😂
Sounds like an Earth Cruiser is on the cards. Heads up, the wheels are heavy! ;)
They look awesome but yeah you’re right, they’re bloody heavy 😂

Such a great idea, thanks 🤩
Good stuff 👍, sounds like you need a troopy with a roof conversion 👌
We’re definitely going to look at them as well as some other options….watch this space 😂
@@turtletrackstravelsI hope not.. they are SO boring and unoriginal with every channel doing a troopy.
@MrFastFarmer 😂 …..we might keep what we have yet when we start looking
I'll be sad you guys leave Australia.

Nice one guys, where did you buy the battery powered shower, and that versatile shower mat!
The shower was from Kick Ass, rechargeable lithium battery via USB. Mat was given to us by a friend, it’s just a rubber mat. Cheers for watching 🤩

@@turtletrackstravels awesome can’t wait to watch your progress in choosing.
@filthyoffroadadventures thank you 🤩
The wire for the fridge, what you need is cable chain.
Thanks for that, will look into it 👍
You can swap the hinges and clips over on the Waeco. Someone makes a cord saver too.
Thanks for that 👍

Ours has been fine, the other day i ran it down to 25% and it was still working the fridge fine 👍
