My dad had a 19 ft Higgins speed boat in the fifties and even though I have had several boats of different sizes, my Prostar has always been one of my favorites. I’m not big into waterskiing but I like the trailerable convenience, it fits into my garage (it takes two spaces but so what) and it gives me that wonderful feeling I had when my dad would take us around Biscayne Bay and Key Biscayne.
Nice! Didn't even notice tracking was a problem. Please tell me you can also get upholstery on the non step areas instead of all the ugly & hard to clean Sea Deck foam. Raise the height of tower so you aren't hitting your head all day long? Video camera replay on screen? Built in transom camera? Maybe maybe???
I hope the building quality is going better by that price, our 2019 is an example for Master Craft construktion problems, we have more than 30 mistakes on a new boat. So USA is not on the way to be the first.
You guys still really need to do something with the display screens in the cockpit. At the right time during the day and with the sun over your shoulder and behind your back, the screens are nearly impossible to see with the sun hitting them. Frustrating as hell!!!!!!!!!
Joe Momma you shouldn’t want a mastercraft just for going fast. If you want something to go fast get a bow rider. And no mastercraft Sells for that cheap.
It helps keep the wake as small as possible by keeping weight away from the stern. The new fancy v-drives have tabs and other engineering that helps keep their wake small but for competitions direct drives like this are the best you can get for skiing

Being a Malibu fan AND owner(Flightcraft), I will have to say that the MasterCraft ProStar is probably the finest slalom boat available today...

Grew up behind an 84 S&S model. Id be happy with one of those
i just bought an '87 pro star 190 for $5.21......that included the trailer and it runs great.

The rail of the bimini in aluminum wears out. The attachment to the windshield should be in stainless steel.
