    Your tutorials are masterclass.. though I have seen other professionals videos about the split step, this is the first video I saw about timing the split step with the opponent hitting the shuttle. Great drills demo to achieve the timing.. Thanks bros. You are awesome .. keep it up 😊😊😊👍👍👍😎😎😎

    i have a question, when to decide to go for back hand.. like here in this video. at 7:08 you went for back hand..i see you could have reached even for forehand..not sure tat part.. is it when you are loosing your energy?

    • @JacobsBadminton
      @JacobsBadminton  8 місяців тому

      In that situation I was under a little bit of pressure and was looking for him to play an attacking shot but played the clear. Playing a BH there was a better option because going forehand would have been tough and put me slightly out of position for the next shot.

    Does the timing of the split step depends on situation to situation or all same in any situation?

    • @JacobsBadminton
      @JacobsBadminton  2 роки тому +2

      No situation is the same, so your split will depend on what shot you have played, what options your opponent has and your anticipation of what might happen. There are various stances you can adopt with your split in some general situations but maybe we can do a video on that.

    Split PUSH seems a more fitting name for the move since it indicates the purpose don't you think?
    We're usually making too many steps already most of the time.

    When should I do that split-step? And how can I understand which direction to split?

    • @JacobsBadminton
      @JacobsBadminton  2 роки тому

      You should land on your split exactly when the opponent strikes the shuttle. If your not sure where t's going you split on the spot as you are but it's all based on the situation in the rally and anticipating our opponents next return. That will help you position the feet into the direction of travel.

    i don't get it when u split different direction.
    u say when we know where to go, ( same time u say when the opponent hit the shuttle ). if they just hit the shuttle how r we gonna know where the shuttle going?

  • @badmintondude5505

    But I have seen professional doing split step just before the birdie hits the racket and Badminton insight had also told this!

    • @JacobsBadminton
      @JacobsBadminton  2 роки тому

      It’s all about timing the split step. You might start before they hit it slightly with the aim to land and go as the shuttle strikes the racket. Hope that helps clear it up.

      @@JacobsBadminton If I had to start doing the split step just before the opponent hits the shot ,then I also have to adjust this timing to the drills that you guys have shown ,i.e, you have shown just after the shot for all drills but I have to adjust it and start just before for all the drills, are you getting me!?🙏

    • @JacobsBadminton
      @JacobsBadminton  2 роки тому +1

      @@anantaastikbajpaie2269yes I understand what your saying and I'm trying to explain this as best I can but as soon as they hit it and you 've seen where it's going you need to be moving in that direction. So you need to anticipate when your opponent will be striking the shuttle and time the split accordingly. This is a bit more advanced than what we talk about in our video but hope I'm explaining it a little better.
