Wow! Those Miniature Buildings got re-used a lot!!!!
It probably helps make them look more real too, when people start recognising them in multiple movies they might assume they look the same because they shot a real city which can't be changed.
the models were used in a bunch of films in the 1990s and were last seen as studio backlot props in the 2005 Bewitched film
Yes, my Batman Forever/Batman and Robin segment will be posted soon with many of those same buildings.
What really boggles my mind is how these guys were able to build these amazing models in such a short amount of time. Ive got enough trouble trying to get my stuff done and it feels like Im as slow as molasses. Trying to get my speed up.
Well, they had ten model makers working on the gargoyle because of a time crunch! The buildings took months to make.
@@piercefilm It was intresting to here that you did re-use the same building in different movies.
@@kirgan1000 I didn't work on this film, just interviewed the model makers. But yes, these building models were re-used a lot! See my Hudsucker Proxy segment. And I will post my Batman Forever/Batman and Robin segment soon also with the same building models.
A wonderful movie, never noticed these were the same model buildings as in the hudsucker proxy.
The gargoyle shot is one of my career favorites
If there's a get together or reunion of theses people , please , the first round is on me ! Cheers !
He said "nurnied it up"!
We also said that back in the 90s when putting details on CG models via kitbashing.
Depended on the studio, actually. Some said nurnies - others called them greebles.
@@houstonhelicoptertours1006 I think ever since Adam Savage turned the world on to "greeblies", you just never hear "nurnies" anymore. I remember model makers saying it when I was younger, for sure.
One of my favorite movies!
👍👍
Such a good movie 🎥 enjoy it everytime i watch & fact it gets better everytime, love the whole style of it the 30s style, the cast was good Alec Baldwin & Penelope Ann Miller gave a killer performance 1 of the best Action/adventure/ Superhero movies ive ever seen, reminds me of The Mask in a way because of the nightclubs & both movies featured a nightclub & came out in 1994 & The Mask has a 30,40ish like theme to it & with the Batman movies like The Shadow are set in New York, 1s fictional the other's a modernized 1 of my favorite scenes was Margo's (Penelope Ann Miller) ring of fire
One day to make that gargoyle and parapet??!!
DOKTOR G'HUL APPROVES.
sorry shadovv piercefilm okay bye bye 👍♥️👌😘😷😂🙏
A Great Movie 🎥👍
That Hotel Monolith is gorgeous. I loved "The Shadow"
One of my favorite movies: A memorable scene where the Khan steps out of his sarcophagus on the loading dock at the museum -- the nervous night watchman pulls out his gun and says: "We're closed!"
