Beautiful figures and another solid, honest review. I'm very pleased to also have these in my collection. They fit in perfectly and have that look, just like you said, of the POTF line had it continued. It's great that Pro Customs is offering figures different from Stan Solo, too. These pilot figures were definitely missed in the original run.
This is another set of characters in Star Wars I love dearly. It is those Pilots who flew in those squads and those droids! Once again, it's those passionate fans who are behind these sweet additions to any collection. Thanks for making this one Michael.
They do look really good. If I was a kid and could have got my parents to buy these to add to my collection to play with id have been going crazy. I laterally wanted every droid, and alien and character on screen,
Really cool. Nice review and I appreciate the detailed review on the swapable arms. Since I'm not into Star Wars collecting as much as I used to be, I will probably never buy these, but it's great that you give that "pro-tip" to both buyers and the makers. Feedback is a gift.
I agree that these days as it pertains to Star Wars that fans are indeed doing the best work. Wish I could afford these. I understand that artisan products have artisan prices. Great grab for anyone who can get them!
You've blown my mind!! In all these years, I've NEVER imagined those dark shapes coming out from under X-Wing Pilot Luke's helmet were his visor! All my life, I've believed that to be his erroneously colored hair!!
Man seeing that retroblasting has been on here 10 years makes me so happy, I may only be 18 and I wasn't around when any of the Kenner stuff was produced but this channel got me so interested in toy history and preservation and how cool it all is, here's to another ten years.
I love the new logo, I can't believe it's been ten years already! I prefer the taller design of the figures and the alternate arms are a really nice touch.
I really like these! I'm not sure I'd ever use the alternate arms for the reasons you outlined. Red Leader and Blue Leader look la bit like movie ea Kirk and Scotty tossed on the X-wing flightsuit at 3:25 lol
I'm not a collector but I find the fan made videos fascinating to see the quality of work being out there especially with the Buck Rogers line and Mike's Cloud City Project which is mind blowing, but I am wondering if these fellas at Stan Solo & ProCustom would be doing other possible lines that were similar to the Star Wars line, or trying their hand at lines that never existed but we know were planned like The Last Starfighter & V
Great Vid!!! Can't wait to get mine (payday hopefully) love seeing these figures, big fan of fan made customs (if you ever fancy doing a live stream with a tiny youtuber let me know 😆)
This is such a great time for classic collection collectors. I'm happy for you guys. I've even seen some amazing retro inspired 3D printed figures out the that are amazing and I would have loved to had when I was a kid.
Really enjoyed this vid Michael! I adore everything Procustom & Toyweaver are doing....and obviously Stan Solo hits home run after home run. Love my set of pilots! I keep returning to snap new pics.
When I saw the teaser for this video, I immediately went to order the Luke pilot figure because he is perfect for my Holiday Special card-back treatment!
When I watch these new additions to the Kenner style figures, it just takes me back to being a kid imagining more Star Wars adventures when there were only 3 films. I kind of wanted to see more Rebels. It's neat to se these.
Good stuff! Once again i will have to say it, the fans do the best work....and they do Star Wars justice! I always miss out on these but i am still happy to see it and i am happy for people that pick them up and embrace it, it is only of good and for good, a positive thing that adds and does not take away.
Beautiful!! Although as a child I thought X-wing Luke was generic enough to be any Rebel pilot in that uniform, actually seeing specific pilot characters in the classic style is exciting to see as an adult.
Great pilots Michael , the idea of displaying them with the helmet under the arm I actually really like. Maverick ideas from these guys, enjoyed it as always Michael 👍
Remember collecting Star Wars in the early eighties the pilot didn’t become a problem until they brought out the snowspeeder which of course needed 2 figures you would think after they released it they would be thinking wedge figure glad someone brought these out
I just bought Stan Solo's Droids C3P0, at first I assumed the 50th anniversary Droids figures, were the old 5 points articulation. Then I see their not, I did get the C3P0 from it. But still wanted the original Droids figure.
These figures are great! Now all I need to complete my armies are some custom imperial officers, specifically the ESB characters we never got (Piett, Ozzle, Veers, etc.) But I am sure they will make them eventually and I will definitely buy them if they are anything like this.
Really hope they continue the pilot line to include the rest of the ANH ones and then branch into ESB pilots. Would be really nice to see Gold Leader, Porkins, Zev, Hobbie, Jansen and Dak.
i appreciate and am glad they are making these figures. for me personally though since i was a kid i was never a fan of the pilot figures, dudes in orange jumpsuits just never looked cool to me. i love the astromech droids though and always wanted those to be made when i was a kid, i keep hoping someone will make the weird looking CZ droid i loved those goofy looking droids when i was a kid.
I think it would be cool if they made a "Pilot's Wave" of figures based on the characters from the X-Wing novels. I'd love to see a Corran Horn action figure in the Kenner style. Add in Gavin Darklighter, place them with Wedge and you're on your way to getting Rogue Squadron
Beautiful figures! I actually picked up a second Kenner X-wing pilot - because the 70s Kenner figure is generic enough to be pretty much any pilot - from a flea market not too long ago, partly with the intent of customizing. Though now that I have seen these, I may just have to take a closer look at them. A set of X-wing pilots back in the day would have been amazing. Also, congrats on 10 years of Retroblasting fun!
These figures look great! Only pilot I can think of that I would’ve liked to have seen would be a vintage styled Porkins (I think he’s had only a couple of figures made).
These look good enough to pair with the later lines. I have as many of the different Rebel pilots from the other series and Hasbro/Kenner never did a decent Red Leader. Plus while they did figures of Gold Leader/Dutch, we still could use figures for Pops and Tyree, not to mention Jadson, Hobbie, Zev, Dak and John D.
Chocky Beigepainter. Right. Cross THAT name off my "Potential Indie Side Project on Bandcamp" group name. Can't. I. Have. ANYTHING NICE?!! 😭 All kidding aside, great production as always. Stay safe, Michael!
I can’t believe they haven’t done the most important pilot yet……Porkins, all jokes aside the fan made toys are really starting to be the only thing I buy nowadays. In my department it’s the retro collection Jurassic park line and others in that category
I bought four "Luke Skywalker X-wing Pilots" back in the day, because you can't actually tell that's Luke, except for the generic Rebel icon on his helmet. Boba Fett doesn't count as A New Hope figure. He wasn't in the original movie. He's either a preview for Empire Strikes Back, or for the Holiday Special. So there's only 20 (unless you count two Snaggletooths, but the blue guy doesn't count.) But I do agree that we didn't get everything we should have gotten. Owen and Beru, some extra droids (at least repaints of Artoo and 3PO), Grand Moff Tarkin or other Imperial officers (still don't know what the guys with the helmets are supposed to be), and Rebel soldiers. Maybe Luke's friends, including Biggs, from the scenes cut from the movie. I still think Rogue One should have been Biggs and Wedge jumping ship with the plans. That's why Biggs happened to be home the same time Leia's ship was at Tatooine.
I would be so ashamed to be one of these massively large toy companies essentially get trounced by fans. But then again, I am so excited about all the things fans are creating, it makes the big toy companies' products very lackluster
I opted for Antilles and Dodonna only. I guessed correctly that the rebel pilots arm gimmick would be flawed. While they look nice, I’d rather have arms that aren’t floppy, especially at that price point. Despite that, ProCustoms is doing great work.
These are awesome. As a kid I always loved the rebel pilots. I think the orange jumpsuits really appealed to me
Amazing Star Wars action figures, from ProCustomFigures, that shows just what CAN be done for fans, without demanding a fee upfront.
Once again the fans are doing the best work
Congratulations on 10 years, here's to 10 more! 🥰🥰🥰
I ordered mine! Great video, Michael!
Awesome commentary and deep analysis of the pilots
Beautiful figures! The snowspeeder luke was just completely dethroned, Fans are doing the best work!
Fans ARE doing the best work
Amazing figures and Mark from ProCustoms is such a nice dude.
Wow! These truly are amazing! Thanks for sharing Michael 👍🏆😊

Totally amazing will need a couple more pilots they look brilliant
They do look really good. If I was a kid and could have got my parents to buy these to add to my collection to play with id have been going crazy. I laterally wanted every droid, and alien and character on screen,
Right? I wish they had some multi packs back in the day for army building. I used to daydream of having all the figures.
The swappable arms that allow them pose holding their helmets is just great touch
Really cool. Nice review and I appreciate the detailed review on the swapable arms. Since I'm not into Star Wars collecting as much as I used to be, I will probably never buy these, but it's great that you give that "pro-tip" to both buyers and the makers. Feedback is a gift.

I thought it was Luke's hair, too, until pretty recently.

Thanks a million. - Michael
They are great looking figures and would really fill out any vintage display. And the blue sabre is a nice touch. Thanks for sharing.
Love it! A great effort by all involved.
I love the new logo, I can't believe it's been ten years already! I prefer the taller design of the figures and the alternate arms are a really nice touch.
I feel like a kid again looking at these
These look great - thanks for making us aware of them
I just received my Luke Skywaker X-wing pilot figure from Procustomfigures and it’s incredible. He resides in my restored 1978 X-wing fighter now 👍🏼
Those pilots look amazing, but them droids are on another level. Thanks for sharing.
I really like these! I'm not sure I'd ever use the alternate arms for the reasons you outlined. Red Leader and Blue Leader look la bit like movie ea Kirk and Scotty tossed on the X-wing flightsuit at 3:25 lol
These look awesome, they've done an amazing job

Quality video, the OT is a goldmine for custom figures that haven’t been released by Kenner.
Luke X-wing pilot was always my favorite figure as a kid. Mainly because you could be any pilot you wanted to be...
It has been hard collecting with prices going up ,my hats off to those who continue,
Great Vid!!! Can't wait to get mine (payday hopefully) love seeing these figures, big fan of fan made customs (if you ever fancy doing a live stream with a tiny youtuber let me know 😆)

Great review. I have a soft spot for the pilots. I was always making vehicles out of cardboard for them.
I swear, I ALWAYS thought that was Luke’s hair! 😅I’m so ashamed. Always learning new things from RetroBlasting
Really enjoyed this vid Michael! I adore everything Procustom & Toyweaver are doing....and obviously Stan Solo hits home run after home run. Love my set of pilots! I keep returning to snap new pics.
This is great. Thank you
When I saw the teaser for this video, I immediately went to order the Luke pilot figure because he is perfect for my Holiday Special card-back treatment!
It's ten months later, and this video came up in my feed again, and I cam here to comment ... and saw I already had. LOL.
When I watch these new additions to the Kenner style figures, it just takes me back to being a kid imagining more Star Wars adventures when there were only 3 films. I kind of wanted to see more Rebels. It's neat to se these.
I was pouring a drink so when the 10 year anniversary started it startled me.
Good stuff! Once again i will have to say it, the fans do the best work....and they do Star Wars justice!

I wish they made these back in the day
Fans doing the best work… without a shadow of a doubt. Amazing.
I had vintage plastic coin banks, the Emperor Royal guard, and the folded arms Vader..this was also a poster
These look awesome! Procustoms are great, still love my rocket firing Boba Fett's!
I admire these figures from afar.
Happy 10 years, Mike. Looking forward to the next 10
Beautiful!!

I received my Dodonna and Captain Antilles yesterday. Mark did a great job, yet again!
Happy anniversary!
Great pilots Michael , the idea of displaying them with the helmet under the arm I actually really like.

Ah good ol "Chalkie Beigepainter" one of the greatest characters in film history!!!!
Awesomeness!!!!!!!
These look great, especially that Biggs figure- finally the vintage X-wing can have the 'correct' pilot!
Guest Starring as General Dodonna: Sloth from the Goonies!
Excellent work on the customs. Imho they look great.
Happy ten years you guys! I was totally inspired by this video

Gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i just ordered the droids versions of c3po and r2-d2 from stan solo. it's my first order with them. so, i hope they turn out great.
I have them. They are perfect.
These figures are great! Now all I need to complete my armies are some custom imperial officers, specifically the ESB characters we never got (Piett, Ozzle, Veers, etc.) But I am sure they will make them eventually and I will definitely buy them if they are anything like this.
I think these are my favorite customs
I hope Gold Leader is coming soon. My Y-Wing needs a pilot.
Nice anniversary logo, reminded me of the Universal anniversary one used on Back to the Future III.
@0:30 is a rogues' gallery of "The Stick Wielders"
Thanks a lot, ROTJ Kenner.
You can also use some clear fingernail polish on the arm pegs to get them to fit more snugly.
Mike you can use that tak putty thy use to hang posters on the arms. Use a tiny little ball on the peg
Really hope they continue the pilot line to include the rest of the ANH ones and then branch into ESB pilots. Would be really nice to see Gold Leader, Porkins, Zev, Hobbie, Jansen and Dak.

Awesome
Still have a Luke Xwing figure sitting in the cockpit of my vintage Y wing. It was him or Admiral Ackbar, I made my choice.
Fantastic!
Stellar figures.
Happy Birthiversary, RetroBlasting
I always thought the black part on the original Rebel pilot was hair. Now I can’t unsee it as black visor
All I can say is...WOW!
These figures look great! Only pilot I can think of that I would’ve liked to have seen would be a vintage styled Porkins (I think he’s had only a couple of figures made).
Really cool to see fan custom stuff. They ever make a Kyle Katarn?
I love the new intri

I bet little foam padding inside helmet would help with the"roominess"
Those figures are cool. I am with the few that may not like the swappable arms.
Cool figures. I always wished they had made the rebel soldiers on the Tantive IV.
Red Buttons standing by.
I can’t believe they haven’t done the most important pilot yet……Porkins, all jokes aside the fan made toys are really starting to be the only thing I buy nowadays.

Pretty sure Chalky Beigepainter was the name X-Wing Luke was given by Palitoy
I’m really surprised that no one is using a Lego style technics pin connection for the arm pegs like what we see in Toy Polloi’s repair videos.
Was going to say the same.
I opted for Antilles and Dodonna only. I guessed correctly that the rebel pilots arm gimmick would be flawed. While they look nice, I’d rather have arms that aren’t floppy, especially at that price point. Despite that, ProCustoms is doing great work.
First non live streaming of this year, yaay
Many more non-streaming videos are in the edit. The Indiana Jones video was larger than I expected so I had to change the plan.
