In the fall of 1969 I was a senior in high school. On Thursday nights my school had a pep rally to cheer on our football team that would be playing the next night. During this time, Sir Tom had a television show and would have other entertainers on as well as himself. As soon as the pep rally was over I would rush home to watch his show....never wanted to miss it......I have had the opportunity to see him in person twice since I have been an adult. I will go see him again if ever given a chance......keep singing Sir Tom.....

I've seen Tom in Vegas 4x and CT 2x in early 2000's. My husband always got me front row seats and got a kick out of watching me go crazy..even though I'm much younger and didn't grow up with his music. He is the most energetic, fabulous, transparent singer that I've ever heard. He's all real! It will be a sad sad day when the gift of "Tom" is no longer with us, and I wish him many more years to gift us with his beautiful voice and songs! God be with you Tom..and thank you.❤❤

The son you refer to has found a never ending fund. Sir Tom willingly pays far more than the son & his mother would ever earn. It was a costly error of judgement for Sir Tom. It takes two to tango & the mother is still dancing. It was never a love affair. It was just an opportunity. Born in 1940, it's typical by the 60s, many married men were discreetly intimate with females who threw and put putting themselves forward. She didn't use protection & didn't tell Sir Tom. He of course, was equally responsible for protection, yet, as is often the case, he assumed she took The Pill, freely available in the 60s/70s/80s. Sir Tom is very respective towards women and each participant knows what they're doing.
Yes he is one of the greatest singers ever. But it is hard to admire a man who had to be forced into taking a dna test before admitting he had a son. And has never spoken to the boy in his life. That to me speaks volumes about him. To me his incredible talent is meaningless in the mark of a man.
