They also get into his playing days in Odessa, the evolution of goalie gear, players that annoy him most, the Jets memorable run in 2017-18, the team under Rick Bowness, fishing with Dustin Byfuglien, how his goals have changed over the years, growing up a Red Wings fan and what he love most about Winnipeg.

This has way too little views! Didn't know much about Hellebuyck before this, but I respect him a LOT now!

Hellebuyck will be a legend on the ice. He'll be an icon off the ice for speaking up on this. Thank you Connor, I hate when you're in the pipes against the Leafs, but you're the best a human can be.

Failure is wonderful. Embrace it. It's the only way you can enjoy success. You never take success for granted.

Really enjoyed this interview! I think my biggest take-away was the change in mindset between "I'm terrible" to "I just had an off day and what can I learn from it?" Being able to step away after a practice or a game and not beat yourself up over it. :)

When talking about hockey books you can't fail mentioning Neil Young's father; Scott Young; and his trilogy; 'Scrubs on Skates'; 'Boy on Defense'; and 'Boy at Leaf Camp'. There's 'athleticism' in hockey but there's also 'artistry'. Those three books defined the latter for me.
