It was definitely worth the hype. I picked up 220 switches for my Kira at work and generic GK84 at home. I paired the Kira with DSA keycaps and GK84 with PBT SA profile. Sound better on SA profile but it was worth.
I’m just recently diving deeper into the mechanical keyboard community. I also have not tried a very wide variety of switches, but I’ve found that sound matters a LOT to me. From listening to the typing test, I think the halo clears sound better. Ideally I want to try both of them at some point though.

My bad, I should have explained that or at least removed onw of the lines. There are two lines because one represents the action of pressing the switch, the other is during release.
So right now, I have like 3 videos I want to get out including a "how to clean lube off HP" so the Zealios will be out after that. UA-cam is hard man! haaha but I promise it is coming.
These HPs have been a bit of a nightmare for a lube servicer such as myself. I've had to clean the stems by hand, and have gone through with a dry brush getting rid of as much lube in the housing as I can, as I don't have a sonic cleaner. Once they are cleaned and lubed properly, though, they're pretty much as good as any OG HP I've tried.

I am very hesitant to pick these up. I have the drop CTRL with halo clears and have gone through 4-5 replacement switches in a few months. Drop was nice enough to send me replacement ones for free, however, the durability didn't hold up.
I haven't made a video for it yet but I've decided that I prefer the holy pandas. I like how the bump is slightly lower down on the pandas where it's right at the top on the Zealios.
i want these, but i'm currently building a kailh box brown keyboard and already own a razer huntsman, both of which i can type and game on with zero complaints. My 60% pcb is hotswappable though, so i can just pop in some holy pandas once my box browns die

I'm giving mechs another chance, but I am not expecting them to last nearly as long as my huntsman will. and I am taking care of my peripherals better than most people, I just type, game, or tap on keys randomly a lot.

You wouldnt happen to know how to clean the housing of the switch would you? Im afraid that they overlubed everything and theres globs of lubes on the leafs. Any help? Im just washing my stems with Dawn and warm water (maybe Isopropyl)
For the housings, I'll be using distilled water and a bit of Dawn in a sonic cleaner. From previous experience, you really want to be careful using iso on plastic and since I don't know the exact material used. However, if you're cleaning them one by one, a q-tip with a small amount of iso should be okay. Try it out on one first. For the leafs, I'll probably have those go through the sonic cleaner as well. Some people have used denture tabs in addition to water and dawn to some success so I might try that also.

any time a company changes its name after they already have a recognizable one it's a hard sell. but in a perfect world Drop is a much better, cleaner straight to the point name and since they acquired the rights to it, which was probably very expensive even just for the website domain, it made sense
