DIY Electrical! How to Add an Outlet to an Existing Switch [PLUS TIPS AND TRICKS]

In this video I go through some tips and tricks on how to add an outlet to a switch. You might need to do this if you have a need for an outlet over closer to a door or where ever theres a switch, but no outlet available without an extension cord. It's a very easy job you can do yourself with just a few inexpensive parts.

Can i use this process to make a switch an outlet?

Yes as long as the switch has "full time power" in the gang box. You'll have to take whatever the switch went to and either connect it to the plug so it's "always on" or wire nut those wires and don't use them anymore...
