There's some history there. My neighbor has a cockshutt 1855 with 1800 hrs on it and I keep trying to get him to sell it but no deal this slide show just reminded me of that and my grandfather thanks.
Like seeing the red! Really liked the picture from the Brantford Plant. I went down and saw it this spring. It's a shame to see what it once was and what it is now.
I actually have a video that should be up tomorrow with a couple pictures I took this spring if you want to check it out. But needless to say, it "caught" fire
More left of that plant than any Oliver plant. Only thing we have left is the power house in South Bend. Every other building has been razzed to the ground.
My dad had a oliver 1355 from the early seventies till 1990 when it caught on fire in our machine shed on a winter day. only lost the 1355 but saved the rest of the farm equipment an shed.
+Oliver66FarmBoy there is two buildings left and the test track but you are pretty much right. Floyds hart parr little devil and the other famous one they own we're in Albert city at the time for the show
Never really dug into Oliver's history, but it sure is interesting. It's a real same Oliver and IH were mismanaged at the end of their run. Both had a lot going for them.
Thanks for the info. A buddy of mine has one in their old machine lot and said they'd sell it for what it weighed in scrap price. Now just need to take a closer look at it and see how much work it needs!
I Bleed IH red but that doesn't mean I don't appreciate other brands of tractors. What I like is just the look of these tractors , they just give massive iron a new meaning. The other thing is the timeline of these pictures, There are a lot of times I wish I could have lived then. Just got in from baling hay and was tailgated, cutoff, and given the finger more times then I can count People have no respect for farmers anymore it seems. Love the video and the song though it does make me feel abit melancholy. Maybe I'm just tired. see you next post.
I have a question about the 4 digit Oliver's specifically between the rearend/ transmission differences on the 1850/55 & 1950/55? I haven't been able to find anything online
If only White had kept the cast iron grill instead of the junk they hung on it. those have been really sharp tractors.I like the 2255 experimental.I grew up we had 2-85 and 4-210 and plastic sucks
Great song choice but it bout makes me cry........ Never seen that pic of the 7800 with a white cab. I think that's the only cockshutt chopper ever built sure would love to have an 840
It looks a little different but I think that 7800 actually looks pretty sharp with a white cab on it. Ide like to find a 840 with the Herc Diesel in it. Ill probably be looking for a while. lol
Another great video! A lot of neat pictures.Certainly will never forget seeing the purple 1850 as a kid.
Nice slideshow & song combination. I always enjoy seeing the old farm equipment. Thanks for posting.
I grew up on a Oliver 550 and Oliver is my favorite. But I really like those later model Molines

This is an awesome video, love all the history I just got to see
Love the slide show. I can only imagine what it would be like if Oliver was still making tractor's today
I wish
Awesome Jamey Johnson is awesome and Oliver is awesome too
Wow that's amazing!! That 2255 in white colors was pretty neat! Good stuff
Awesome video 👍
I grew up with a 66 and 77. I preferred the 77 because it was a diesel, and smoked under load.
Great video those were some good old days.
Loved the music and slide show
Very good, really enjoyed that.
Olivers were great machines .
Great music, keep up the great work.
Thank you for sharing that that was cool!!!👍
Music and photo's just great thanks.
Thanks canvids.
I never knew Oliver came out with a chopper. Thanks for sharing that
They were a 100% full line company till White fucked them over.
We still have 2 840’s
great video love the song choice
great song for the vid just hits u where it counts
Good job I love Oliver
The music makes the video. Good job.

Keep working on that, an 1800 hour 1855 is a rare bird.
Like seeing the red! Really liked the picture from the Brantford Plant. I went down and saw it this spring. It's a shame to see what it once was and what it is now.
Have they let it go to nothing?

+Red Iron Acres ok ill check it out...
More left of that plant than any Oliver plant. Only thing we have left is the power house in South Bend. Every other building has been razzed to the ground.
+Oliver66FarmBoy its a shame people don't care.
My dad had a oliver 1355 from the early seventies till 1990 when it caught on fire in our machine shed on a winter day. only lost the 1355 but saved the rest of the farm equipment an shed.
Man I would love to have that 2255 with the experimental white decals.
Thats one they should have kept building. Its a pretty sharp tractor.
Like the video Keep up the good work and good song choice for it
Thanks man
Oliver should of bought out White, they would still be made today.
That song you shouda seen it in color is so wrenching because we lost our farm in 58 as the US was going through a big slump.
I just bailed with an Oliver baler yesterday.
When I was out in Iowa for the 2015 HPOCA show we stopped in Charles city and drove over where the Charles city plant used to stand
Nothing but a big depressing slab of concrete now.
+Oliver66FarmBoy there is two buildings left and the test track but you are pretty much right. Floyds hart parr little devil and the other famous one they own we're in Albert city at the time for the show

Wonderful 😊😢
That was the day I miss my Oliver dealer wills frank he was so laid back. Nice man real in pice
Never really dug into Oliver's history, but it sure is interesting. It's a real same Oliver and IH were mismanaged at the end of their run. Both had a lot going for them.
Man those seem like good times.
Back when times were simple. Men were men, and made in America meant something to the people in this country.
+Oliver66FarmBoy Amen brother.
This slide show is cool good job on it what new is I live in Charles city we’re they were made
Congrats on 3K subscribers
Thanks man.
grate vid but just wondering what happen to the Oliver tractor company
Ive been asked that a lot so im gonna do a story time video on it.
White Fucked them over!
Not sure how else to get ahold of you so I'll try here. Any chance you might have an idea of what a 542 Oliver combine would weigh?
Should be around 7500 pounds without a head.
Thanks for the info. A buddy of mine has one in their old machine lot and said they'd sell it for what it weighed in scrap price. Now just need to take a closer look at it and see how much work it needs!

I always wish I could have lived back then.
+Oliver66FarmBoy. I farm with Oliver
Love looking at all the photos. I love Olivers & MMs. Sorry I dislike country music
There is an equipment jockey near me that has a Minnie mo A4T-1600 for $13,000. Says its a one owner. Looks like a beast.
Awesome
Well done!
Thanks man.
I have a question about the 4 digit Oliver's specifically between the rearend/ transmission differences on the 1850/55 & 1950/55? I haven't been able to find anything online
The rear ends are completely different between the 2 series. There arent to many common parts on either series period.
+Oliver66FarmBoy Thanks and are the rearends different between the 18's & 19's?
Oliver made forage harvesters? Never knew that
If u find one DONT PASS IT UP!!!!!!
Isn't that a Fox chopper in Oliver colors?
Its all Oliver. Shares a lot of parts with a 525 combine.
+Oliver66FarmBoy congrats on 3k subs! My dad was wondering, could get the hart parr 70 out?
@@larrykriete7035 lary that was a fox just dressed in Oliver colors with just a few things changed
I got a guy that's selling a 1850 diesel with fuel tank fenders in clear lake, Iowa it's on Craigslist and looks very good
wants 4500 for it
If only White had kept the cast iron grill instead of the junk they hung on it. those have been really sharp tractors.I like the 2255 experimental.I grew up we had 2-85 and 4-210 and plastic sucks
I dont think the White grills look to bad on the 2-70 and 2-85 but it makes the bigger tractors look kinda wimpy.
Great song choice but it bout makes me cry........ Never seen that pic of the 7800 with a white cab. I think that's the only cockshutt chopper ever built sure would love to have an 840
Jake you and Oliverboy are my favorite youtuber
+shawn green thanks man!

I know a guy who has an 1855 Oliver and an Oliver drain digger
Looks like oliver built a good tractor, wonder why they went out of business .
in way way they are still under acgo
+Oliver66FarmBoy with that being said would you ever consider buying a white piece of farm equipment and if so what?
I like. It
Curieux cette marque , une fois c'est du Someca et après c'est du IH .
Shame that a company that had so much going for them.. only survives in what was instead what could have been
And man it would have been something.
:(
