U said it man its a joke now these hipsters that pay these ridiculous prices for everything city is a nightmare we never see those days again so sad soon to be 50 that was the best time to grow up here
.... Oh WOW, I remember the "Jesus" lady.... she was a Times Square fixture for years.... and I remember seeing "ROBOCOP" for the first time in one of those old theaters (I can still smell the mouse urine) and just hangin' out there for hours afterward before going back home to Coney Island on the subway.... I was eighteen when this was filmed....
Just like a mocker like you unless your already there 5 years after you commented on this, who knows maybe your burning right now with demons after you passed away on earth
@@johnforde2344 That's what Jesus did as well. Read the scriptures, you will see He spoke more about people sinning and perishing in the spiritual, than He spoke of heaven. People want to hear what makes them feel good, not the truth. The sister who spoke the Word was right on, as she did what Jesus would do - not pander to what people Wanted to hear, but what they Needed to hear, in order to get saved. I hope that you are saved.
one thing that impressed me greatly about NYC when I visited a few years ago, was the high quality of subway buskers. So much raw talent in that city. I was on my way to see Jerry Seinfeld live on Broadway at 200 dollars a ticket. There were two buskers in the nearby subway, rugged up against the snow, a sax player and a trumpet player blowing incredibly intricate jazz. I had to tear myself away from them to go see Seinfeld. I think I gave them 5 bucks.
Good old NYC of my childhood. Before gentrification. Before Times Square was a just another branch of your local mega-mall. They used to have a lot more of these street preacher types. They used to have anti-abortion protesters and black Israelites always outside Penn Station. They've been cut down on them because they don't fit in with the corporate shopping experience.
Smart lady warning people, question is are people listening? Note how they walk past her bc it isnt what they wanna hear, the truth yet they flock at the music tickling their ears.
I mean, the word "heaven" is used far more times in the Bible than "hell", but I don't know why some people have more emphasis on "how not to go to hell" instead of "how to go to heaven".
Well Jesus actually spoke of hell more than heaven, if you actually read the scriptures. The emphasis is more on hell, because people who engage in worldly desires and feed their flesh, more than the spirit, and reject Jesus, will end up there. Jesus is the Only, and One way to heaven. So if the emphasis is more on hell, that is meant to wake people up and make them realize they will not make heaven, unless they accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Saviour.
Man, we was dressing however we wanted with no one judging, music was becoming inspirational and had meaning, the taste quality of fast food was banging, and we had freedom in those times.....I don't like the feel of today, these vids are my happiest escape
Born on Oct 7 '80, it sure was different then, I'm the last old school generation before social media, no smartphones, very few people had cellphones, everything was old school
I agree about that completely it makes me walk faster and can drain off my momentum briefly. I say do the best you can for for yourself, family and humanity and then pray that it will all add up in the end-
Great vibes, simple living. Now the city is one big shopping mall

I went there in 1989 and that’s how I remember 42nd street. All the theaters had crazy movies playing and weird people everywhere.
Totally different vibe in the city then. Everyone on guard, focused, no smart phones. There was no room to look careless.

Wow! From Jesus to Blues Music: from Blues Music to the movie, “ Hellraiser.” That’s New York!
Smart lady warning people, question is are people listening? Note how they walk past her bc it isnt what they wanna hear, the truth yet they flock at the music tickling their ears.
Exactly! I was thinking how sad it is, more people stopped to listen to the music, than they did to the preaching of God's word.

"You reject Jesus? My Goodness! You're going to hell. Amen!" LOL!
Truth is truth. Like it or not. Mocking won't save you from going there. Only Jesus will.
How on Earth is that funny? Especially since it's true!
jesus is in hell
this was a great time... no one gave a fuck... and people got along... glad i lived it....
It's always a shock to see 42nd Street the way it was before it's clean-up.

On the sign, they spelled Jackie Chan as "Jacky Chan" at 4:07. Just an observation.
since this lady says that "hell is getting bigger," i wonder what the suburbs of hell are like.
I would have liked to interrupt that street preacher as I was walking by and ask her "excuse me, which way to Hell's Kitchen?"
Hey Guys Nice video..... classic :)
