@@Jcook941 If you think about it, it'd probably be stranger if this didnt happen, on account of this podcast running for so long and realistically the odds of it happening are low but not as low as you may think, considering that all podcast episodes will be somewhere between 45-70 mins
Love lewis when he quietly said i used to be a scientist like yea lewis you did and thats one of the reasons my mum let me watch the yogscast when i was a lil sprog
I was a former inmate and I can tell you there are some people that dude horrible things there, but a lot of them truly do change for the better. Not all of them, but a good amount to where it would be a shame to not give people a 2nd chance. Thanks for speaking up for that Lewis.
I love Pflax's rebuttal to "This is why we shouldn't just execute Hitler if that was an option" because it really is a "Sliding scale" as he says. If you'll do something for a good reason, you'll end up doing it for a bad reason type shit.
Who put new batteries in Lewlew? He seemed extra steamrolling at the start of this episode, mouth going a hundred km/h. Regarding death penalty for leaders that did warcrimes, look what happened by letting Napoleon live. EDIT: Loved the last 3 minutes, really put a smile on my face.
I grew up in Luton moved out as soon as I could about 5 years ago now I have family that still live there they tell me its only gotten worse. It is a fucking dump. And the crime there is ridiculous murders, drugs, theft. I used to fall asleep to the oh so lovely sound of gunshots. I forget which but a news paper does a 'worst towns/places in England' every year and every year Luton is in the top 5 if not number 1. Unless you need the airport do not go there! Long time listener keep up the good work lads. Love Jason
Another Lutonian checking in. Born there and moved away as soon as I could. About 10 years removed now. This guy speaks the truth. It's as bad as it looks and then some. One of the worst places in the UK for sure.
the thing with pyrions slippery slope ( i dont mean his cranium, weyhey!) is that when baddies come to power they will just change the rules regardless
Once again Pyrion blesses us with his knowledge of movies he haven’t seen. Passion of the Christ WAS filmed in arameic. I’m not a fan of Mel either, far from it, but is he more obsessed with blood than let’s say ??
I was kinda expecting the triforce to joke about needing a safe space for Sips' video games or Dota/Tarkov. Not an episode-long discussion about politics or the royal family. Still a good episode. I'll probably remember this the most. Edit: I did not realise the last three minutes were just them staring straight at my soul
In terms of the death penalty, I think it makes sense only in those cases when what the person did was horrendous AND it's literally caught in 4k, 500 witnesses, 17 drones recording. In those cases where there is 0 doubt that they did it. Otherwise we are just wasting tax money to keep someone alive with 0 chance of them ever being proven innocent and 0 chance of redemption or being let out.
I have done it. I have caught up. I really do feel the same about pvp as them, it just infuriates me. But i also cant play single player because ill end up cheating and getting bored quickly so im stuck to coop and mmos. Sucks how im so limited on what i can enjoy
The problem with today's politics is the political parties it is not a real democracy when you only have a a limited choice and those representitives are beholden to their parties. Also why a lot of people don't vote there is no good choices to pick, you might like your local guy's view's but not his parties views. To me political parties are elitist groups that only want to control the masses not do what is best for the masses.
Me - 'Uh... Yeah, Hi... My name is.... Them - 'Hi, ....' Me - 'Yeah, Uh.. Well, I've not played a Dota 2 match in... about three months now...' Them - *supportive clapping* Group Leader - 'That's very good, ... , how do you feel so far?' Me - '... Pretty good, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good...'
Its always so weird to me how invested the guys are in American politics. As an American.. I have no idea what's going on in British politics - I had to google who Prince Andrew was and what he did lol
"We try to stay away from politics as much as possible." Continues to discuss only the politics they don't agree with in countries they've never lived in from media sources who only show them a certain perspective.
At 25:00, Pyrion asking the guys to acknowledge sexist abuse and Lewis and Sips replying with the classic "blame mental illness" and "sometimes women do it too", is rough. Just a rough moment in general
Makes me sad that Pflaxs encounter with Gloomhaven was a bad one. Becuase it is one of the best experiences you can have if done well. But if you are an impatient old curmudgeon I can totally see that it's not the game for you. Just like rock climbing isn't for me, regardless pf how thrilling it could be.
Yay more wild speculation, you see it everywhere, there is no "time off for good behavior" In the UK Again Sips knows basically nothing. If killing someone was the end all be all, then why don't we just lock up every soldier that has ever killed anyone? People deserve a 2nd chance, just not a 3rd, that is my opinion, and obviously as long as the initial Crime was not an insanely inhuman one, like torture, or mass murder.
Lewis comparing satisfactory to placing floor tiles, has made me genuinely feel ill. There is so much more interest to building an entire factory by yourself, or with friends, than laying down tile. I know I'm over reacting, and being illogical... But the tile requires the purchase and gathering of basic materials, always from the same types of stores. Where in Satisfactory, you go exploring, you hunt down resources and fight off the environment, and design your own. Way to get things back home. The factory itself may be rather finicky, but it's all choices you are making, mixed in with the joy of creating something that can be somewhat unique- where tile.... It's the customer that chooses how everything is to be layer out.
Pyrian: "It implies ownership" Marriage is ownership, you also own your children. See most men take care of what they own Pyrion. But you dont even believe these legal ownerships youve signed off on mean anything
Ahh yes support the criminals doing home invasion, I wonder if sips and pyrion will change their tune if they came home to criminals who broke in to assault their family's. What if they came back? clearly the police are not effective if the crime can happen and get chased around and the police end up charging the homeowner. Imagine your wife and kids being home getting robbed or assaulted and you catch them but they have rights so you have to wait for the police to show up.
Glad they included those last 3 minutes and 50 seconds of silence so I could really reflect on what the hell I just listened to.
Good episode lads
kind of spooky that they were still blinking
They just stared into my soul. I think sips fell asleep tbf

That is strange
Well... does the other ep have 4 mintues of silence... kek

Wish more podcasts did the talking animated heads, it's so cool, I find myself actually looking at the screen even tho it's a audio podcast
The joke at the end is the best part of this 1:05:02
no sip in the states you can get out of jail for good behavior after halve your time. Plus a life sentence usually is 20 years
I was expecting some sorta easter egg at the end. The easter egg was "disappointment."
That awkward silence and stare at the end made me uncomfortable.. like they were judging me for having my massive dingdong out....
It’s not supposed to be massive if you’re a true fan of the podcast

Good episode. Always reassured to hear that my three favorite Yogscast members are decent people who wanna do right by the world.

Well since that's never going to happen, it's a no to the death penalty.
@@Einomar I was exaggerating, if someone is caught murdering on camera and its just evidently them why are we wasting money on them?

Would be hilarious if they forced Pyrion & Sips into EaW.
As a non-Brit it took me a while to figure that when they were talking about Prince Andrew + Fergie they weren't talking about Fergie the singer.
Classic Triforce moment as Lewis starts making excuses for murderers..
Our favorite contrarian can't help himself
Good stare contest at the end
If you want a mechanically deep game that's multiplayer but I vastly prefer the singleplayer try Songs of Conquest, it scratches that itch
