Footage I filmed of Buckethead back in 2004 in San Jose California. I've been the biggest Buckethead fan for many years (since 2000)so it was quite amazing to see him literally play in front of my face.
List:
-Impro. Shred
-Big Sur Moon
-Pure Imagination
-Pirates Life For Me
-Grim Grinning Ghosts
-Insane Guitar Slap
-Wish upon a Star
This guy is shredding so hard I'm hiding my ninja turtles collection.
Thanks for the laugh mate! Awesome comment hahaha
This guy is shredding so hard I’m binge watching rocket power
😝... ❤🎸🎶🎵
Bucket is shredding so hard that I had to tell my colluding accountants
I love how he switched to a higher octave on big sur moon because the tone from the amp was too bassy
This is godlike
Instablaster.
i love how bassy it never heard a tone sound so thick and fuzzy
@@giddyup4458 playing on a different string would have put it at a higher octave.
@@cadeoneal8137 oh
Unbeliveble virtuous and genius, Buckethead!
This is the reason why I love Buckethead's music. Very adventurous playing & a one of a kind style!! Super cool.
insane shred. and a lot of emotion in every note, the progression and way he just changes the way hes playing is unbelievably good. definitely one of the best guitarists of all time
That's the most depressing version of pure imagination I've ever herd. It's what the umpa loompas listen to when Willy wonka dies. Buckethead is the master
For those that don't realize what just happened.
you've just experienced some of the sounds of the greatest guitarist who ever existed
when buckethead comes in contact with a guitar , the darkness steps asside the sun starts shinning , birds start singing.
because of buckethead I have a life.
there is only buckethead.
He's like being in a room with buce lee , chuck noris , jet li and jackie chan all soving you around like a pin ball.
Omg at 2:45... when he heard that the lick sounded really muddy so he immediately went up an octave and palm muted the song and then it sounded great! True mark of a genius....
The song is called big sur moon.
He is brilliant no doubt
@@harrykadaras9459 so are you to recognize
@@damonstewart70 just got into guitars and about to purchase one! How’s my list of favorite guitarist look?(in no order of greatness):
David Gilmour
Steve vai
Buckethead
Eddie van halen
Time henson
Alan holdsworth
Adam jones
@@jasontodd1141 you should put Jimi Hendrix first then cream era ERIC CLAPTON second. Other than that your list is fine. Don't forget one of Buckethead influence...SHAWN LANE!!! Shred with feel. Check out Shawn lane TEMPORAL ANALOG or THE TRI TONE FASCINATION...holla back
That last Note Missing is making me CRAZY!!!!!
😂😂😂

I just keep coming back to this video. I love how he is in a friggin movie rental store playing right in my face. Who the hell else would do this type of appearance? Just adds to his awesome unusualness that I've grown to love. I feel sorry for anyone who can't pick out the feeling and emotion in his playing.
omg. who can give a dislike to this? the guys brilliant. 24/7 practice + 100% talen.
apollo11bb i think some people didn't like it because they don't like him and say he had "no soul" and i guess there are also people that didn't like the quality which is (in my opinion) quite bad
I just love coming back to this and watching it. Great stuff.
I wish Buckethead was my dad
Edit: one year later I find this video again lol. Also I don't wish my dad was anyone other than my dad but Bucket is still God
Yeah, I wish Bucket was Brazilian and my dad too
Peasants, John Petrucci is God.
TheManny BG that guy cant do shit to what bucket does. He’s gotten worse every year while bucket gets better every year
He would strum you ass
This is with out a doubt the best guitar ever
amazing section at 2:40
+sexy350Zowner it's big sur moon, a great solo!
Big sur moon is just an all around masterpiece
Damn you Buckethead! he makes it look so damn easy! just got my first guitar, (got a les paul inspired by his videos), already had 10 fingers, what else do i need? a family meal at kfc just to get that bucket in my head as well? or maybe i need to be "re raised" by chickens, that's it, i'm gonna buy a chicken coop and spend some time with then things, what a legend, lots of players out there, lots of different styles, but this guy got a real passion for the instrument...simply brilliant...
Come with me, and youll be, in a wooorld of pure imagination.
👍👍
Imagine Buckethead on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?”
*Wins fastest finger question by a mile
*Proceeds to give Regis silent treatment and not answer questions.
I’ve watched this like 5 times in a row. Every day.
There are no words. Bucket is just a freak of nature
Bucketshred.
DVDs under $10, shit, where is this place?
late 1990s

His shredding literally made the power in my house go out. That's how much of a god he is.
The man can out blip a computer in heat. It's crazy!
my favorite rendition of Pirates Life for Me
That was AMAZING!! :)
This guy is simply amazing.
Thx for the video man. Greetings from Brazil!
quite possibly the GREATEST buckethead video i've ever seen!!!
FEELS LIKE YOUR RIGHT THERE!!!!
buckethead is a genius
He looks at EVERYTHING like, "what is this inferior technology?" and,..."did I mention I AM Paul Gilbert!"
i just love..what it starts with and how at the end your watching it thinking..."..and this guy just shred the hell out of the guitar.." he can play anything!
One of the best guitarists in such a unique way. So badass.
This mindless shred is Buckethead's musical SIGNATURE. Which matches his misterious personality. That's why he plays it over and over in each live presentation. I dare you to play like that. He's one of the greatest composers and performers EVER!
Girl: OMG you play guitar? play me a song!
Me: 0:44
Thanks now im gonna do that whenever a girl ask me to play.thanks for giving idea
Just do the tapping section of eruption. It always impresses normies
Dude this is way awesome I love it I would love to see him live and meet him after
Prolly one of the coolest things I've ever seen, right here.
Wow!
TV's looked like that in 2004?
Sloth from The Goonies They were DELICIOUS.
+Sloth from The Goonies chunk would aprove
Dude are you that fucking young lmao
Actually, behind the mask you can see his circuitry. True story.
Ahhhhh his tapping is soo much clearer than other guitarists
i cannot ever grow tired of the great mastery that eminates from his divine efulgence
Buckethead
Would I sell my soul to Satan for skills like this? Yeah.
can someone please tell me what song he is covering 3:55-4:55...
“Pure Imagination” from Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory.
the best buckethead video i've seen here. this should have 1,000,000 views
Probably my favourite solo of all time, never seen such Guitar Mastery
If this is not shredding, there is no such thing.
omfg what is "he"
WTF man....BH is the greatest!!!!!!!...best shred i've ever seen!!
A talented musican, no question about it, who has a lot of new ideas, great stuff!
Do you guys wanna know Bucket's real name?
It's G.O.D.

So beautiful and mystic...

Good Lord I love this video so much
It is so fun to watch Buckethead play, great sync!
wow unbelievably amazing or amazingly unbelievable... i can't tell
awesome man you should upload some more.. this footage is amazing
that was badass!! i love pure imagination and big sur moon
this is really great footage my bot
This guy is great, he's always mixing up styles and keeping your interest, then he shreds out a few lines for the shredheads.
i honestly admire his playfulness in guitar overall, often wonder if he got so far in it cus of that. I’m not a guitar player but I relate to I guess his style in a different form; it really really reminds me of ‘stimming’, like how hyperactive folks sometimes get creativity out by tapping elaborately on everything. Idk I just appreciate what he does so much and I think his brilliance comes outta his play. 💐 luv him
buckethead is one of the most talented guitarists out there. respect that
Hi you monster you! He is so above all the other virtuosos its abit sad ;) Inovative genius
Big Sur Moon! One of his own magic creations!
so raw and fun to watch
Great clip, wish Buckethead would come play in the UK some time
Love the "when you wish.." ending. Just like a good movie's ending
That was so awesome!
What an amazing experience. >>>
that must have been the greatest Wish upon a Star i have ever hear ;')
Other worldly 🤘🔥
0:31 is that a MISFITS poster??? DAMN why Buckethead has to rock so much? !!!! Guitar Hero!
"Improvising." "Improving" is "to improve", or get better. And "improv-ing" isn't a word.
A Living Legend...
How cool is that -- getting to watch him from a few feet away. Awesome vid. Thanks for sharing. The guy is a virtuoso par excellence.
I cannot understand is how he can wear that getup for so long. I sweat with just a hat on my head. Not only is the head/face-wear a humidifier, but it's got to be the most suffocating uncomfortable nuisance. He must get sweat in his eyes all the time. Certainly doesn't affect his playing.
Amazing guitarist wish I was there.
I'm a Big Fan
Thanks for share with us this video :)
He's so amazing.
I take it back everything after 3 minutes is so good
omg!
buckethead thats all you need to say
great video dude :D
@Joe Wetterling its Pure Imagination. from willy wonka
Ahaha the ending!!! When you wish upon a star!!! Ahaha bh rocks. Though i noticed alot of Paul Gilberts licks def PGs student!!! Awesome
i love bh...i also love that he plays many different styles...but with all of the different things he plays...u can tell that he was such a nerd when he was young.
But i am still envious of his technique...especially his slap style guitar at 5:43
Big Sur Moon
I love this song
This due is a bad ass.
pure and simple.. dayyyyum.!!
Kickass, Thanks for Sharing!!!
i luv this guy
because its fun. it gets your attention, and hes an excellent musician
also... Doorsfreak- great video.. im extremely jealous that you are this close to bucket! my face would have been melting off if i was filming this
The song at 2:30 is called "Big Sur Moon" and it's on the album "Colma".
That is more than practice, that is talent !!
it's amazing
EXCELLENT!!!
Dude, you were there?? That must have been awesome!!
@Squeege85 What makes him rule even more is that he actualy sat down with his guitar one day and decided to become amazing, so he practiced like a mo-fo, and look where he is now.
WOW! 2:40 through 3:45 just friggin beautiful. Should be the next Final Fantasy Theme :)
epic video. someone should recommend a killer kickass one.
I LOVE the Big Sur Moon moment :D..... He's the best.....
yeah he is amazing.
WOW! Love it
