I HAD ONE I BROUGHT IN JULY OF 96 AFTER MY WIFE PASSED AWAY BUT MY ENGINE WAS RED I ENJOYED MY CAR THE FASTEST I WENT WAS 175 MPH ONE NIGHT DRIVING UP THE MERRIT PARKWAY IN CONNECTICUT BETWEEN THE TRUMBULL AND BRIDGEPORT EXIT GOING NORTH THIS STATE TROOPER PULLS OUT FLASHES HIS LIGHTS SAW WHAT I WAS PUSHING AND TURNED HIS LIGHTS OFF AND SAYS FORGET IT AND PULLS BACK IN THE CORNER LMFAO
What month build is this? I have a January 96 and my front fascia is the same as the Gen 1 vipers, this one looks to be the later gen 2? Fitted ex factory or was it swapped at a later date?
Great video... Just a little side note The 97 still had Gen 1 hood... in 1998 the RT-10 officially became a Gen 2 excluding 1 car in 1998 That left the factory with a gen 1 hood.... But congrats on your Vipers
I just really hate the bulking in the middle with that bbc as a emergency brake lever.. When i can finally afford mine, that hideous thing will be out of there asap.
Funny. I want to same the same thing about you. I know they are commonly called that now. I very clearly remember them being called McDonald’s cars back in the 90’s when they were first released. They were referred as “McVipers” back then.
Awesome video, guys!! Amoung Viper Guys, the 1996 Viper RT-10 is considered a GEN 1.5. To your point it shares things between the GEN 1 & GEN 2.

He knew he wasn’t catching up! And yes, the engine was changed to blue by the current owner
Team Viper stated Gen II exhaust moved to the rear due to new federal emissions regulations. When the O2 technology caught up, side pipes returned.
No way, your father let me drive this car in Wisconsin
Yes I did lol

This one was built 02/23/1996. It was very likely swapped under previous ownership as it had a small handful of mods when the current owner bought it
@@the_chooches ah cool. Yeah I like the later fascia better.
Turned it off when the engine wasn't red
Where did you get the replica window sticker?
His name is Patrick Moore, he makes replica window stickers for most Mopar products. His email is pattymelt3605@att.net
@@the_chooches thanks bro

Thank you! Makes you wonder how one car snaked out in 1998 with the old hood...
@@the_chooches right....
I want one so bad 😔

nice car...nice video.
Its too bad you modded it so much. I left my 93 Viper completely stock
The car looks like it’s wearing a bad tupae’ lol
Yeah they really didn’t think about the top design too much…
You clearly know nothing about Vipers. They were called ketchup and mustard cars and def the most badass of the lame 96 editions.
Ok Boomer
