This addition at the intro was so necessary. The ending of ATLA is fine for a cartoon, but irl there's absolutely no way after generations of genocide the other nations would all just welcome the fire nation, hold hands and sing Kumbaya. Now though it makes way more sense, that many citizens also feel oppressed and like they're being sacrificed for the firelords unending war, so in a way the "peasants" are also victims.
Commenting in hopes that y’all continue this❤️ I won’t go into detail but I will say this. Whether you dislike it or have your own gripes with it so far, this is a worth while watch. Certainly not perfect but the good does out weigh the bad, and the fact that it’s been approved for S2 & S3 should give it some credit to encourage those of us who are skeptical to give it a fightn chance in hopes of improvements made over time as the cast and writers settle into this beloved fandom❤️
Believe me, u guys need to start separate this show with the original 😂, and then you can start to enjoy for whatever this is. I'm a OG fan since it was came out years ago, i have tradition that every year I'll watch it again and then korra in a row, it's on 8th year doing it. And if i really bored i just watch a lot of YT react ,start this journey from the beginning again. Believe me I'm the og og fan from the beginning.. On my first watch, ep 1 and 2 are the most great deal for me, but 3 4 5 is very "chaotic" as you described it. 6 got better, 7 8 are the most stay to the true core of the show as a season finale. But on my second, third and so on, watching this reaction and the others, i finally realized that this adaptation doesn't have to be 1 to 1 shot of the cartoon. It's like the cartoon is the most holiest thing, and "that" movie and this show are like , a very nice try to pay respect to the og . Even though this show are much better than that 2010 abomination.. Please keep react to this series, there are a lot of good moments in the show, but also a lot of "chaos", i think that is why it's balanced.
Ya I think you're right. I kinda went into 3 + 4 with a negative attitude. We haven't watched 5-8 yet and I think I'm gonna have to play those different in my mind.
Not showing Ozai also works for the cartoon. But this is gonna be like 3-4 more years of filming. Can you imagine hiring a major actor and not showing his face for 5 years of filming? xD A voice actor wouldn't mind as much because his voice is the point. But a real life actor?
I love that they brought Ozai and Azula in this early, I just wanted more. The cartoon is great but it’s super dragged on. In my opinion the OG show is 98% filler and 2% story, kinda like Naruto. Plus in the cartoon they spend a lot of the year playing around, this adaptation makes it more serious
2:45 to me that was one of the most annoying things in the cartoon that I did not like. There was this big build up of never showing him then when they do it was not impressive. I was expecting something more with how mysterious he was. 18:40 Jet mentions earlier how the king lets corruption run wild 12:38 21:48 I’m curious to know why you think that? Part of your criticism stems from feeling the original storylines were condensed or rushed. Without knowing those were separate episodes how does seeing them together make it difficult to grasp? There’s a lot going on but I’d imagine that’s on purpose based on what the next episode deals with where Aang is being challenged that being the Avatar means making difficult choices. Enjoyed your reaction.
I think you guys will really love the blue spirit and the ensing
The cabbage man on this is the same actor who voiced him all those years ago in the original

Ya I agree with this. I liked it, I think I was more pointing out the difference between the shows and being "that guy"
