This screenshot represents one of the most powerful scene I have ever seen. I remember watching it back when I was younger on VHS.. This is about a man who feels, deep down, something is wrong. Everything, everybody around him is meant to show him everything is normal... but deep down he feels that it is not. (spoilers) When he finally decides to escape, to trust his gut feeling, there is no way for him to tell if he just turned crazy or what. When this scene comes, when his boat crashes into the sky, when the shadow of his hand appears on the sky, when he can finally touch this false sky... he finally knows he was right all along. That you should trust your gut feeling. Very powerful scene indeed.

i was watching you when you were born... i was watching you when you took your first step... i was watching you at your first days of school... *laugh* and the episode when you lost your first tooth... you can't leave Truman, belong here , with me.
This makes me think of life... What's the meaning of it? What's our mission here? What do we do? Why does all of this exist? What's after death? Will I be forgotten? Will I be loved? Is it worth it? Even if you don't believe it, we will never... Understand the meaning of life, the answers from all kind of things we ask to ourselves. Because life is not about finding the sense of it, but the enjoyment. Have a wonderful life everyone and remember to love your people because.... There's always an end, there's an end that will drift all of us away no matter what we have done when we were alive. And yes, it is normal that you may feel sad, that you may cry, our emotions are what make life a place with a meaning.
I am glad you are asking the questions. The same questions that torture us all, existential dread. But I tell you, for everything I am worth, without a shred of a doubt, there is meaning and purpose for your life. It is a straight and narrow way that few find. Let all who seek, find. Jesus Christ was everything he said he was, he died for us, to save us. Please do not judge him by false followers. He is living, and merciful, and kind. Ignore the dogmas of our time, or any preconceived notions or subliminal connotations associated with the Savior. Read the Bible for yourself, one of the four Gospels. Pray, fast, be loving, keep seeking and you will find there is great purpose for your life, and suddenly that massive hole in our hearts, in our souls, will fill. All my love, and may all the Lord's blessings be upon you. The Lord works in mysterious ways, and this movie had a profound effect on me early on. And now it is part of my worship music. It reminds me of the day I found God, or rather God found me. I am a work in progress but I will not give up. What great things The Great I Am has to show us. Email me at anytime, kevblaha@hotmail.com. I would love to share any spiritual gifts that might comfort you. Stay strong, and even if you do not believe now, keep seeking. If you note the "Name of music:" above, you'll see the original title of "Father Kolbe's Preaching." If you know the story of this man, Maximillian Kolbe, your emotions will be doubly impacted. He was a priest who resisted the Nazis and sacrificed his life for another (who I understand survived the camp and the war). Knowing this, I cry every time I listen to this piece. Oh, to be like that man. His whole life was was of humble sacrificial service to God and people. Whatever your beliefs, this man was inspiring. After the town was captured by the Germans, he was briefly arrested by them on 19 September 1939 but released on 8 December. He refused to sign the Deutsche Volksliste, which would have given him rights similar to those of German citizens, in exchange for recognizing his ethnic German ancestry. Upon his release he continued work at his friary, where he and other friars provided shelter to refugees from Greater Poland, including 2,000 Jews whom he hid from German persecution in the Niepokalanów friary. Kolbe received permission to continue publishing religious works, though significantly reduced in scope. The monastery continued to act as a publishing house, issuing a number of anti-Nazi German publications. On 17 February 1941, the monastery was shut down by the German authorities. That day Kolbe and four others were arrested by the German Gestapo and imprisoned in the Pawiak prison. On 28 May, he was transferred to Auschwitz as prisoner 16670. When one of the selected men, Franciszek Gajowniczek, cried out, "My wife! My children!", Kolbe volunteered to take his place. According to an eyewitness, an assistant janitor at that time, in his prison cell, Kolbe led the prisoners in prayer. Each time the guards checked on him, he was standing or kneeling in the middle of the cell and looking calmly at those who entered. This movie was a masterpiece, for many reasons, it’s great acting, it’s original visuals, the amazing soundtrack, but also the subtle real genre of this movie hidden behind the comedy, in reality, it’s very much dramatic, imagine learning everything and everyone you knew was fake and that your whole life meant nothing, it was just a show for someone else’s pleasure. The fact I first saw the movie in the city right next to the location where it was filmed also helps me remember this movie very fondly
Music composed by the genius Polish 🇵🇱 composer of film and classical music WOJCIECH KILAR (parts from Requiem Father Kolbe). The rest of the music for this excellent film (apart from exceptions woven into the soundtrack: a piece by another brilliant Polish composer FRYDERYK CHOPIN - whole 2 movement of The Piano Concerto No.1 in E minor, also MOZART’s Alla Turca, and other) is by BURKHARD DALLWITZ and FILIP GLASS.
I used to listen to this music on repeat, made me cry a lot, music it self is like a language, the instruments have conversation, and when everyone says the right thing, it's pleasant, bad music comes as a result of chaotic, un-harmonious conversation. This song speaks

Love this movie!! Seen it so many times and it never gets old! Such a powerful and emotional movie. Jim Carey at his best! I would HIGHLY recommend this movie to anybody!
A movie that will live on for ages. Still and will always be my favorite just based off the first time I ever saw it. Had such a profound effect on me.
The Truman show is one of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen In every way films like this made me want to make my own movies sadly that's never gonna happen I made some movies within video games but would love to make a genuine movie one day peace to you all.
this scene really does show how truman really became a "true man". For so long he wasn't allowed to grow as a person but in the end took control of his own life, defying all odds against him. When all seemed lost, he found freedom and did it all his own, this wasn't just the story of human realizing his world is fake, this is the story of a boy becoming a man, in control of his own life. truely a masterpiece and one of Jim Carrey's finest, he really can do more than comedy and this is the proof.
The majority didn´t understand a thing from this movie true purpose, It takes commitment to achieve anything u desire in life although everyone will try to refrain u from doing it, but u should stay focused and believe on what you truly are and not what others say to u, It means that life conspire against us at our down moments to make you believe that you´re fine in your current situation and that following your hearts is something not worthy and that the brain who decided what´s important for us, wake up people our hearts down´t only pump blood but it is a living being within us that gives signals about our environment too. To all who cannot see all this points in the movie, watch it again but now with a different approach Enjoy u all
Imagine days or years after the end of the show... there are a new fans that interested to see the truman show.. and try to do a marathon of the show.. imagine how much the time will took :v
+Courtney Hinerman You clearly didn't get it. That's how we as a society would really behave. As soon as something is over we look elsewhere immediately to fill that void. The movie just adds a slight comedic spin on the last scene.
Courtney Hineman I know right. I wanted to see him outside of the dome. Be dazed/amazed at seeing the actual sky and sun. Fighting through paparazzi to see the girl he loved and end it that way or something similar or like that.
I think the very last scene is more important than maybe first evident. If you believe as some do, that television is some kind of prison , a source of control if you will. The film acts as a metaphor for this medium, Truman escapes the prison, but the viewers are still trapped within. Art imitating life. Or maybe it is just an ironic poke at how ultimately shallow and fickle we are as individuals. Or a statement about how today’s headline are tomorrow’s litter box liners. I think any time a film or book bring up the themes of the nature of power, especially with elements of big brother it automatically raises more questions than answers.

@Thijs Wuytens Dont trying to start a Earth's shape debate here, but there are 2 o 3 things about the official system (pseudo-shperical Earth fast moving around Sun) that make that system absolutely impossible to exist as such. Also, you are asserting Gallileo was right, that's your first error. You are believing, having faith in what was told to you. That's another mistake.
@Jos Inox Can I propose you a "problem" or doubt I have about the spherical model, and do you promise to answer without exploding in hate, without ad-hominem, without evasion and mainly answering something that really answers the question and not answering with a non-related nosense because "I'm the superior guy"? I know you think "you are sure of this" now but that's exactly how I was feeling before I began to question this neutrally. I am not a flat-earther but I am neither a ball-earther there are too many things in the "official" system that escapes the most basic common sense and I need this to be cleared for myself. So, do you agree all the above and agree to try to answer?

A movie that will live on for ages. Still and will always be my favorite just based off the first time I ever saw it. Had such a profound effect on me.
im playing this song when quarantine ends,Seeing my friends again in class, goofing around, having real human conversations,i hope to see them soon
"I am the creator, of a TV show that brings light, hope and inspiration to millions."
"...What am I?.."
"You're the star."
Listening to some of the best music ever composed by man. A UA-cam ad for quick trips pops up at the 2 minute mark…
The Truman show is one of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen In every way films like this made me want to make my own movies sadly that's never gonna happen I made some movies within video games but would love to make a genuine movie one day peace to you all.
Someone send this person a big box of punctuation.
Why does this make me cry 😢😢
It's beautiful and elicits emotions. I'm with ya.
The reasons is simple, it's called Chords, and Chords ties you up 🙂
I think that's his best performance makes me cry every time
Best movie of all time
Jim Carrys greatest movie and one of my favorites.
I saw this movie today and can't stop thinking about it :(
One of the best movies i've ever seen
"Let's see what else is on, where's the TV guide?"
this scene really does show how truman really became a "true man".
This is amazing music. I am living the Truman Show right now. What I thought was right is wrong. This world is a blender of confusion.
"I was there when you took your first steps, when you said your first word, when you lost your first tooth! You can't leave Truman..."
It is more than a movie for me
It is life
Thanks for this
I first saw this movie in my English class in highschool and it’s been one of my favourite movies ever since. Such a great film
Same. This is the kind of film you only know by name, and end up loving it. Definitely one to be seen.

...My thoughts exactly.
Can't stop listening to this beautiful masterpiece

Tu eres real jim carrey
If only I could watch this for the first time again...

One of the best movies of all time
RIP Wojciech Kilar 🇵🇱
Master piece!!!
A reminder that Jim Carrey can play any role on the highest level
Was nothing real?
You.. were real.. thats what made you so good to watch.
Oh God, how I love this so much!
This is the music that plays in my mind when I ascend the steps of the Celestial Temple to talk to God.
This was a great movie.
Wojciech Kilar.
I want to hear this piece when i meet God.
Hear this piece while you still can because there is no God
God is real, all you have to do is look outside and see his creation.

what a wonderful soundtrack
I heard this at midnight on December 31, 2020
The majority didn´t understand a thing from this movie true purpose, It takes commitment to achieve anything u desire in life although everyone will try to refrain u from doing it, but u should stay focused and believe on what you truly are and not what others say to u, It means that life conspire against us at our down moments to make you believe that you´re fine in your current situation and that following your hearts is something not worthy and that the brain who decided what´s important for us, wake up people our hearts down´t only pump blood but it is a living being within us that gives signals about our environment too.
To all who cannot see all this points in the movie, watch it again but now with a different approach
Enjoy u all
This is my favourite movie....
Imagine days or years after the end of the show... there are a new fans that interested to see the truman show.. and try to do a marathon of the show.. imagine how much the time will took :v
End characters: let’s see what else is on tv

Me: That’s it?!
+Courtney Hinerman
You clearly didn't get it.
Yes, that's it. Thanks for watching and good night.
@@Cuddles0321 it has more meaning this way, you dont need to see him on the outside because it isnt important
Yeah, great music itself and a great screenshot. In german version Truman released ,,Ahhhh!" after he touched the wall...
Wonderful!
Anyone searching for truth and meaning is living in their own personal Truman Show. We're all trying to leave the matrix.
Conspiracy theories innit mate
you can never understand the experience of seeing this movie, for the first time, in the theater, tripping balls on LSD.

Tunes in minor keys may be melancholic, but when a tune in major key is sad, it is so painfully, so incredibly sad.
Now we know how Gallileo felt...
Ian G True...makes me think-:)
Well that's fumny, because actually for him it was the other way around. He found out there was no wall/ending to the world.
