This is from early 1949, before Bob Smith became "Buffalo Bob". The "silent movie" is one of Mickey Rooney's "Mickey McGuire" comedies from 1927 [Doc Whipple is at the organ].

Last year on the TCM channel,I saw the movie,"Portrait of Jennie,"with Jennifer Jones. Interesting in that Howdy Doody should do a promo.
