Hey Cody, I just got min incubator this morning and I have duck eggs I want to hatch in it. Wish me luck and I will post to let you know how they turn out. I have read that the temperature doesn't hold correctly so I have ordered one of those hydrometers/temperature gauges to help me out. I'll post back with I get er done. Thanks so much for your video, it helped me a lot.
Thanks for your comment, I'm so glad the video helped you out. My temperature read the same until I took the top off but I'm not too sure on how accurate it was. Good luck and please let me know how it goes.
That’s smart. Another thing I have discovered through research is the foam that comes with the incubator is highly recommended. It helps keep the temperature from fluctuating. I’ll be doing what he did in the video. Also, the chicks can survive 48 hours after hatching without food and water. They still have the nourishment from the yolk in their system. They recommend to not remove the cover immediately on seeing a chick hatch. If you remove the cover after one or two hatch the temperature change can shrink wrap the live ducks in their eggs and they won’t be able to get out of them and will die. Something to keep in mind. Don’t open the incubator immediately. Wait a day or two later and then open and let them out.
@@Diamondviper911 Great information. That might of been my problem because some of mine didn't hatch but I could hear them chirping inside. I tried helping some of them.
