Hello! This mall was troubled from the beginning in autumn of 1986! WHY? They charged for parking! Locals were not happy about it, and the massive buildings of today did not yet exist! A classic example of "PROGRESS" !!
Yeah update: They have torn down the main structure of the mall. The area shown in this video is no longer accessible, only the theatre and Macy's remain open during demolition.

When was this video filmed? I remember this mall was under renovation about 6 years ago! I went to it a year ago.
I have been waiting for somebody to film the FOREVER. I rode this when I was in DC back in October.
Wow, live nearby and this place is empty now. All stores but the Macys and CVS are closed, and major renovations are about to take place.

Dam that's a shame because I wanted to back at least I got to go once any reason why it got torn down?
No one went there anymore, it was totally derelict in its final months
