there are two ways to look into COT as this is a sentiment analysis approach. 1. large speculators are for long/ week trade, 2. retail sentiment is for short/ day trade. and using retail/broker info such as IG client sentiment is a CONTRARIAN approach meaning when retailers more traders traded long, then it must be short, but unlike COT it requires time to reach a level of support and resistance before it can be traded because they are HUGE money as in BILLIONS and it will not be outrightly reflected on charts. example, COT reported the AUD has been traded more on long, yet the chart does not show it but rather doing a long run. WAIT for it to reach a level where it will reverse, it may take effect on higher high of the week or day chart, and not in lower charts. it require understanding the data at hand because it is not always reflected on charts.

hes not a fundametalist he is technical the method is using is wrong,after fundamentals analysis which will will tel to buy or sell before even looking the chart thats when you go to COT report to time your trade and this COT is not used this way he introduces

The non-commercial traders is the column you want to examine most closely. The commercial traders are mostly hedging and will often be positioned in the opposite direction of the non-commercial investors or speculators.
This is one of the best training I received thus far. I previously heard about the COT report, but I did not know of its relevance. Thanks for this quality training.
