This album reminds me of this Welsh word, hiraeth. It means, "a homesickness for a home to which you cannot return, a home which maybe never was; the nostalgia, the yearning, the grief for the lost places of your places". It just makes me want to go back to somewhere that doesn't exist and remember somebody that I've never known. I don't really know how to describe it?? But I love this whole album.
Real quick can we all just take a moment to just understand that he has such a way with storytelling in his songs and they're all so beautiful and rough the same time his vocal range is outstanding too, also Teddy you are very adorable looking and you are a wonderful artist, don't let anyone tell you different and continue to do what you're doing!! And again you are a wonderful artist. Lot's of love, Syd.
the way that teddy has such a range of his music is absolutely amazing. i could literally listen to all of his songs if i’m in the mood for anything. if i want something a little more uplifting i could go for sockfooted and if i wanted something to cry to i could go for pretty much anything else. it’s insane how wide his music range is.

[Intro] The factory’s deep in a patch of trees, no path to lead you there, where I’m soot-clad seeking a masterpiece and it’s bad to breathe the air. But you’ll find in exchange with the violent arrangement I’ve made with these aisles of blind dedication, with the banging of carbon and the making of art, you have to relate to a diamond to make one [Verse] The steel hands in which coal is pressed are Akin to those on a gold rolex Without the role of a closing gap I’ll grow old at the bowl-o-mat All my coulds can’t adapt to cans if I’ve got the goods but I lack demand If I wait for the push of a passive hand My greatest works will be accidents But I’m no pro crow, I can only wing it for so long When I’m low on coal I skip the shipments and go home I’ll lay and shift in the blaze If I’m unwilling to praise- [Chorus] Pressure! [Verse] What will be left of my breadcrumb trail? The P.S. to my flesh E-mail The brief message my headstone wears Best be worth all the breath I’ve snared Are these gems why I don’t fear death? ‘Cause I’ll descend into broken breath My bones are but local guests But my soul will be sold and kept [Chorus] Pressure! Pressure! [Outro] Oh, crush me, oh, crush me, oh crush me alive ‘til I live! Oh, I’ll let my body die If my diamonds can survive Forever No pressure ----------------------- 11: Dead Man I am nothing and so are you Let’s be nothing together
dude!!!!!! AHHHH i know ive commented like three times but like i can't get enough of your content??? this new album- beautiful, auGH I LOVE IT the last one- really sweet!! like, vanilla curls is probably my favorite. my aunt passed last june and the song always makes me think of her :) sex with a ghost is a clOSE second. idk if i could explain it, but i just love it. so much. i think terry's taxidermy is my absolute favorite. i love the lyrics, so clever, i love your voice SO SO much when you go terrRRRRrrryyyy'sssSS TAXI- (pause) DERRMYY that is my favorite part also at the end, the funeral bit??? so creepy but just cool. you've got s o much talent and skill. your sound is just so original. i would kill to see you live. i cant wait to watch you become the next big thing in like anti-pop okay, rant over, i just love your content so much!!
these songs are so theatrical, and hold a special place in my heart. your talent is beyond words! please give us more! these songs invoke feelings i wasn’t aware human beings we’re capable for feeling... i just want to drive somewhere and get lost while i listen to your albums.
The first song is about a plane crashing into the town IT'S THE SAME PLANE IN THE ALBUM ART IN THE BOTTOM LEFT you can even hear the plane on fire in the start of welcome to splittsville
Teddy I’m literally so excited for this i never ever listen to albums straight all the way through but that’s exactly what I’m doing right now, an honor reserved for literally just you and Harry Styles. I literally adore all your stuff and i would absolutely love to come see you if you came to Denver!! Also is there any way i can get this album on cd?? 💖💖
teddy hyde is so underrated after listening to sock footed i was like eh i might not like splitsville though, and now i’ve realized that all of teddy hyde’s songs are probably good
Probably one of my new favorite albums ever! I love how all the songs transition into each other and fit so well side by side, listening to them in order all together is really a wonder. I can totally imagine the weird happenings of the songs taking place in one town. The orchestra feel and the atmosphere each song delivers truly sells it, I'm in love! 💖
Oh my goodness, another album! Yay, I'm so excited!! Gonna listen to this all day, man. I honestly love your work so much, and I'm so glad you came out with another album
this is incredible! gives me huge nostalgia vibes, can't wait to hear more! my favorites are for sure abington's arcade and terry's taxidermy. i get the feeling of exploring the different aspects and locations of a small town, and i love it!!
Can I just say that I haven't properly sat down to draw something for a year and that made me feel horrible but after discovering your songs I'm now drawing all over the place and I'm just so happy and inspired and I love you
Teddy I would just like to say I've listened to this album probably a hundred times this month, no joke. I'm obsessed with the song transitions and instrumentation, but don't even get me started on the lyrics because I am so very jealous of how you write. You are seriously probably my favorite lyricist ever. Is there a chance you'll have this album to buy as a CD on the shop anytime soon? I would kill for a copy to listen to in the car!! Anyway thank you for the album, you're doing AMAZING I haven't shut up trying to get my friends to listen to you
Your music is absolutely fantastic! There are no other words to describe it but pure genius. Your ability to use such intricate details is just insane. I showed my old music theory teacher your music, they absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to hear what comes out next.
God these songs are brilliant! recently became obsessed with your work, and probably won't shut up about it until i become a "dead man", (at which point i'd like that song played at my funeral)
I just wanna say I absolutely adore your chaotic style, it's the perfect amount of different, and is a great departure from the last album, your voice is a godsend! I'm hoping to get one of the hoodies/sweaters when or if they go back on sale, just bought the album sock footed, so I'm super excited to listen to it with my boyfriend! Also both of your albums are my gotos when I work on commissions
its been like 3/4 months since i first listened to this album. most of my comments were jokes - obviously, but i seriously want to give a piece of my mind and what i think about this album. i love how all of the tracks perfectly intertwine with one another, yet all of them seemingly having their own genre. jet plane is sang in more of a melancholy, poetic way- and the subtle sound affects of a jet plane soaring in the beginning along with the harsh piano keys really emphasizes on the symbolism and the "story" (if you could consider it one. im just having a fun time). it gives me a 1920s noir detective feeling, i love it. yet the song ends with a wistful instrumental, implying the pilots death, and then begins a new song, introduced with a suburban up-beat tone. how the moods between songs switch so often but all still manage to connect to eachother wonderfully is probably why i adore this album so much. the concept of a town youve never heard of full of people youve never met, gives me a strange nostalgic feeling. from the symbolism, the instrumentals, the story, the reoccuring theme of death, and just genuinely amazing music, i love it so bad and i cant wait to see what you decide to do with your music in the future (apologies if this comes out hard to read or sloppy i really dont think about what im saying while typing its all just concept)
told 3 friends about your music today, they all loved it. Teddy Hyde really is an amazing music creator. each track has a story to be told and you can feel it every time he sings a note. just... wow.
why don't more people see this! like, I jumped from presser diamond co thinking that the full album would have a ton of views and that the song wasn't liked as much so it got fewer views, but no, its less somehow. I can only hope that more of your work becomes as successful as sex with a ghost because you don't get enough credit
I would like to revise my previous statement after listening to the entire album 3 times. This is a beautiful mess and I feel like the fact that I have no idea what's going on is part of the appeal. This is a MAJOR departure from stock footed with what I feel like is a story not as directly related to Teddy. Unlike sock footed, every track on this album is jam packed with creative precision and a blend of everything, as opposed to (also amazing but less substantive tracks) Hello and la da dum. Sock footed helped me through a difficult time, but Splitsville is something I can jam to.
Sockfooted is something I feel comfortable to cry to but I straight *_VIBE_* with Splitsville. And I exclusive listen to Talkies at 3 am while writing poetry and/or dissociating. Idk Teddy had range with his songs.
@@cordeliajackson8615 I think Talkies is gonna take me a while to get into. I'm a lazy listener; I like music that hands me its themes on a platter rather than me having to actively listen and interpret. Talkies is feels like it fills a similar purpose to a walk through the woods or listening to some ambient waterfall sounds.
That chaos in the begging of channel 01 clown scratches my brain so much. and also how every single song intertwines with each other is just absolutely amazing. Keep up the great work man!! 💜
Good GOD, man. How could I not adore your work? Inconceivable. These two albums are undeniably the most enthralling music I've found in the past year. Thank ya, sir. 🤙☘️
I found this in my recommends and UA-cam did not let me down 🥺 your music is absolutely beautiful 🖤🖤 would you ever think about merch like stickers or something? Think it'd be epic
My Small Amatuer Analysis of Splittsville by Teddy Hyde To the person that dares to read this comment, forgive me for ranting and typing out a whole essay- (I bet I am making my English teachers very proud doing this lol) No words can describe how much I love this album. To me, I find so many themes within each song, from the pain of isolation to the dread and crisis that comes when your efforts seem like in vain; And no matter how diverse and different each song stands apart from each other, from the synth of Target to the boisterous band instruments of Channel 01 Clown, all the songs still fit and blend together beautifully to regardless of their differences to the overarching theme of loss. I see many comments here noting the bittersweet undertone that is prevalent throughout this album, and the reason this album conveys such a tone is the way that hints of death always seems to peek into each song; My reasoning for this conclusion would be the sounds of burning fire after Jet Plane, implying to me (especially when looking at the lyrics as real metaphors for the plane failing) the plane crashed; Or in Presser Diamond Co., the speaker makes so many statements pondering how his efforts would be taken once dead and as well begs to be crushed, that once Dead Man starts playing, I think the implication here is that Mr. Presser (I call him that everytime I listen to the whole album through) was killed. And then there would be small words such as “die” in Welcome to Splittsville, “coffin” in Channel 01 Clown. AND THEN THERE’S TERRENCE, EDDY CROWLEY, AND THE VULTURES OH BOY- I feel like someone might start typing; “Oh but what about Lazy Bones Bowl-O-Drome?????” BUT BRO- BONES = SKELETONS AND SKELETONS = DEATH YES YES VERY LOGIC THIS IS HOW MY BRAIN WORKS- (But in all seriousness, to me, the song itself literally feels like some shady dude in cool shades trying to convince me to abandon the present and future for something more “time-stopping” and they are doing a really good job at it (Like death- ok I’ll shut up lol-) It is kinda due to this theme that it is my headcanon that everyone in this album dies- But again, even if that’s not the case; the loss-loss and the inability to let go of the past as we keep moving into the future-is what I feel the frequent mentions of death are supposed to allude to. These songs mean these things to me: Abington’s Arcade and not moving on from nostalgia and our romanticized childhood; Lazy Bones Bowl-O-Drome and the want to stop thinking and run away from crisis of time with escapism; Channel 01 Clown and the reminder that nothing lasts forever other than the memories we make at best; Terry’s Taxidermy and the toll isolation has along with never letting go, leading to remorse and dissatisfaction with what we have because time takes away what we cherish most and since we cannot let go we cannot make room for something newer or more healthy, leading to a desperate vain attempt to renew what has been lost long ago; Target and the unhealthy cycles we perpetuate to commit escapism again only to never get what we want due to the realization that trying is the only way to change things for ourselves; Presser Diamond Co. and the wish to not lose one’s creations and the want to leave behind a imprint on history with those creations; Dead Man and the realization that we are only all equal when dead and that we cannot change our pasts anymore, making regrets pointless as there is nothing to change the past anymore as we fade into nothing as time still moves on despite us. I may have projected a bit, but hey, all the more meaning and significance to me that helps me appreciate this album more, right? I totally haven’t been hyperfixating on this album and making headcanons that everyone dies (I’m very edgy hehe-) and looping this theory in my head for months now. I personally am angry that I didn’t find this album sooner either because it really does help me distract myself from my own thoughts and get sent to a real show where I can find the characters to be very relatable. This album is like a glorious broadway show to me that is in my opinion not appreciated or looked into enough itself. With it I manage to wake up my brain more and it helps me appreciate the diversity in perspectives that is prevalent in our society yet also helps me acknowledge that despite our different struggles, our internal problems, logic fallacies, and struggles are not so different than we think they are sometimes. Its escapism to me while ironically acknowledging the pitfalls of escapism, and I feel seen because of it in all honesty rather than attacked. Mr. Teddy Hyde you orderly chaotic genius you are officially one of my favorite artists by far with how well your style paints anxiety and dread to whimsical atmospheres (Talking about Sock-Footed to the Sleepies for example) and immense kudos to everyone else who helped ya too in the process of making this album as well! Tried to keep this as short as possible… but ye thank you for coming to my mini-TED Talk. ^^” Thank you for making this album as well, from the bottom of both my heart and the taxidermied bird that is my mind too. -v-
I think I got an addiction- I've been listening to this album every day for the past 2 weeks :'D Terry's Taxidermy do be smth else tho and I'm living for it.
More musical poetry??? I've been blessed by the God himself, Teddy Hyde. How did Sock-Footed bring me nostalgia for ballgowns and romance dramas and now Splittsville is giving me 90s/2000s nostalgia. Oh Teddy Hyde you surprise me every time. Planning on listening to this in residential treatment!! Can I get this on cassette?????
This is genuinely my favourite album ever , jet plabe is especially cool!!111 i love how u can make a character out of the songs :)) Also in welcome to splittsvile you can hear a plane going down along with other referencws to previous songs in the next few tracks :D
hey mr hyde are you thinking abt selling shirts on ur store? I'm in desperate need of some T H merch but alas I am only an eboy and exclusively wear band/game shirts
I never found an album that I could just listen in one go and enjoy all of it! I'm so happy that I found ur music cause it's just so fucking good Idk it just makes me wanna sit and draw smth that doesn't make much sense. The lyrics r super creative I just-- I'm bad with words but I'm trying to say that I love it
Hey! I'm honestly loving this whole album, it's so meaningful and just beautiful!! Like urghhh I love the way you perform so much! And I wonder, If u get to read this if there could be a possibility to get your songs in instagram music lol, best of wishes to you nd stay safe ❤️ excuse my bad english lol ;(
Your music is so beautiful, I love both this album and sock footed so much, I hope one day I can see you live! I just bought both the albums on CD, they'll be coming along on a road trip soon across the UK 😊
This album reminds me of this Welsh word, hiraeth. What you’re describing sounds exactly like dreamcore/weirdcore

LYRICS
1: Jet plane
With a fluttered gasp, the engine murmurs and stutters
And guzzles gas with the thirst of a lover
A cluttered past never serves bread and butter
Just a pack of peanuts for the worst of your hunger
Mile highway hypnosis
The road to sky-cosis
I erode as I coast it
Erratic scissors cut through mass hoards of crude fog
Scored by static whispers of the dashboard jukebox
A past envisioned by a post-war freight dog
Displays his absent mission as his boat soars AWOL
Wings dance a clumsy tango with the rain
Wringing hands numb from wrangling the reins
A sinking glance softly angling toward terrain
I might just scream out, scream out
The mind is like a taxidermy bird you’ve gotta clean out
Oh, I just gotta let loose, get clean
Oh, time is like a tiger-lion hybrid tryna’ catch me
Thunder clatters after flashes like timpani
Raucous flocks of bellowed breath heave the heavy ship to sleep
Broken windows sing a shattered glass symphony
-----------------------
2:Welcome to Splitsville
One of the broken, One of the broken, baby
Die, runnin’
Deep sea dive, runnin’
-----------------------
3:Abington’s arcade
[Verse]
There’s one couch in heaven, a keyboard on the wall, and
A freshly broken treadmill, a TV- that’s all
I ran with Courage and ate Ritz with Aqua Teens
The past is perfect and I live it through these screens
But grandmas move and doggies die, the gods all change their minds
A quarter to restore the view you forfeited to time
[Pre-Chorus]
SNES DK, As I ascend the rest decays
But when the house lights fade, You have to end the memory games
[Chorus]
Memory see the light
Let me feel alive
[Verse]
I use old controllers, but get wrapped up in the cords
Over and over, trying to top my old high scores
Late nights on Jordan, the horror and the brawl
So I keep coming back here where we still make time to talk
‘Cause growing up is growing down when loss is all you see
But some you wish you never loaded up to take a peek
[Pre-Chorus]
A machine that plays for free
‘Cause none would pay to see
All the pain in which they’ve been
And all the names they’ve atrophied
[Alt-Chorus]
Memory please subside
Let me keep my pride
[Chorus]
Memory see the light
Let me feel alive
-----------------------
4:Lazy bones bowl-o-drome
[Verse]
No, I’m not here to compete, I came to give you my card
I didn’t come to sweep feet, but just to dust off my heart
Must have been missing your 7-10s, guess you were just out of frame
Oh, this place is teeming with people talking in present tense
Perhaps you’d care to spare the time and split a lane
[Chorus]
Oh, be at ease, at ease
Be at ease
Let your will slip, take your time
At the Lazy Bones Bowl-O-Drome
[Verse]
When eyes roll down alleyways of time, the mind likes to walk away with doubt
But when life tries to complicate, I drop thought to a crawling pace
If it’s all here, there’s nothin’ I’m without
[Chorus]
Oh, be at ease, at ease
-----------------------
5:Channel 01 clown
[Scene]
A: Babe, get in here, it’s starting!
B: I know, I’m getting your drink that you asked for!
A: Well I could do without the attitude…
B: Oh, could you?
A: What do you mean, could I? Of course I could--
[Verse]
I snuck a peak and found no one that’s not me
So I juggled my feet across town decked in motley
Seeking applause to seem oddly godly
Channel one! We want you to watch me
Attention expected wherever I walk in
Absently serving my talking
But at least you’ll catch that I matched my shirt and my socks when
Only my face can fit in my coffin
[Chorus]
Laughter, applause, and abrasive bells!
Covered in glue, so I’ll stick!
Everything’s huge, everything’s huge but my-- car!
Channel one… Channel one...
[Verse]
Head like the tail of peacock
Consumed by the movements of grooming my plumage
A whole pack of lions outweighing my seesaw
Crooning my tune after nobody queued it
Ratings are great, but the studio’s empty
I’m fading away from the few who have kept me
Getting replaced by a beautiful memory
Channel one, the view for the many
Doo doo doo…., Whenever I--
[Scene]
Director: CUT! Uh… alright, that was lovely… very tender
Clown: Thanks…
Director: Let’s make-- ahh…. Bring it back to the fun part and we’ll just call it a day
[Chorus]
Laughter, applause, and abrasive bells!
Covered in glue, so I’ll stick!
Everything’s huge, everything’s huge but my-- car!
-----------------------
6:like the movies by Eddy Crowley
I want a love like the movies
Drink some poison, drown on a door
If we both want a love like the movies
Only one of us has to die
-----------------------
7:Terrys taxidermy
[Verse]
You could die and come back as someone else
If you’re enticed by what I sell
Just need to sign and I’ll stuff you well
Here at Terry’s
When they die they’re dying to be rebuilt
With bigger smiles like you wish they did
Hindsight is a tricky thing
So get creative
Lilac eyes that’ll never wilt
Can’t say goodbye with no lungs to fill
Comfy company, a human quilt
Preservation
[Pre-Chorus]
Sleep on a couch in an empty home
Kicked out of bed by the memory foam
Reason it out with the heads I’ve sewn
My poised and harlequin eternal loves
[Chorus]
At Terry’s Taxidermy, I’ll leave you neat as a figurine
I’ll remedy the death of thee, your memory forever seen
I’ll set you free
At Terry’s Taxidermy, I’ll leave you neat as a figurine
[Verse]
I don’t need to let go, so long as I
Bring a sweet and special doll to life
So I keep this mental compromise
Justification
But the nights are cold next to empty chests
And polished arms in which I’d never rest
I come to harm, but they can never fret
Isolation
And I’ve got a heart pumping messy blood
And all these parts I could better cut
And quit the farce of these imperfect guts
Contemplation
[Pre-Chorus]
Sleep on a couch in an empty home
Kicked out of bed by the memory foam
Reason it out with the heads I’ve sewn
My poised and harlequin eternal loves
[Chorus] x2
At Terry’s Taxidermy, I’ll leave you neat as a figurine
I’ll remedy the death of thee, your memory forever seen
I’ll set you free
[Scene]
Speaker: Thank you for joining us today as we celebrate the life of Dr. Tich. As many of you know, Terrence attempted to taxidermy himself. If you’ll all please join in a prayer-- Oh, Jesus Christ! Someone help me pick him up...

8:The pack of vultures
Awfully picky, aren’t we?
Awfully picky
Awfully picky, aren’t we?
9:Target
-----------------------
[Verse]
A slew of hoppers in the pond
But I’m like a super shopper mom
‘Cause once I’ve found my target, I don’t even think about [themall]
I’m used to hopping in my car
‘Cause where I shop is often far
Perhaps I choose my target so I don’t stay drinking at the bar
[Chorus]
There’s something about the drive that blinds the iris blues
A store fit to patronize provides me my excuse
A morbid and glamorized disguise of self abuse
[Verse]
When I arrive they’re always closed
It’s no surprise, it’s something I’d already known
But still, I pull the doors my hardest, cause I can’t stand camping out alone
[Bridge]
I’ll be sunny once you open up
Until then I’ll hold my dough
‘Cause what I need must be inside
Or maybe I myself provide
What I seek from Target, and maybe all I have to do is try
[Chorus]
There’s something about the drive that blinds the iris blues
A store fit to patronize provides me my excuse
A morbid and glamorized disguise of self abuse

10:Presser Diamond Co.
[Intro]
The factory’s deep in a patch of trees, no path to lead you there, where I’m soot-clad seeking a masterpiece and it’s bad to breathe the air. But you’ll find in exchange with the violent arrangement I’ve made with these aisles of blind dedication, with the banging of carbon and the making of art, you have to relate to a diamond to make one
[Verse]
The steel hands in which coal is pressed are
Akin to those on a gold rolex
Without the role of a closing gap
I’ll grow old at the bowl-o-mat
All my coulds can’t adapt to cans if
I’ve got the goods but I lack demand
If I wait for the push of a passive hand
My greatest works will be accidents
But I’m no pro crow, I can only wing it for so long
When I’m low on coal I skip the shipments and go home
I’ll lay and shift in the blaze
If I’m unwilling to praise-
[Chorus]
Pressure!
[Verse]
What will be left of my breadcrumb trail?
The P.S. to my flesh E-mail
The brief message my headstone wears
Best be worth all the breath I’ve snared
Are these gems why I don’t fear death?
‘Cause I’ll descend into broken breath
My bones are but local guests
But my soul will be sold and kept
[Chorus]
Pressure!
Pressure!
[Outro]
Oh, crush me, oh, crush me, oh crush me alive ‘til I live!
Oh, I’ll let my body die
If my diamonds can survive
Forever
No pressure

I am nothing and so are you
Let’s be nothing together

Bro yessss Terry’s Taxidermy is life🙈🙈🌞
these songs are so theatrical, and hold a special place in my heart. your talent is beyond words! please give us more! these songs invoke feelings i wasn’t aware human beings we’re capable for feeling...
i just want to drive somewhere and get lost while i listen to your albums.
The first song is about a plane crashing into the town IT'S THE SAME PLANE IN THE ALBUM ART IN THE BOTTOM LEFT you can even hear the plane on fire in the start of welcome to splittsville
i think theres jet plabe refernece in most of the songz
Teddy I’m literally so excited for this i never ever listen to albums straight all the way through but that’s exactly what I’m doing right now, an honor reserved for literally just you and Harry Styles. I literally adore all your stuff and i would absolutely love to come see you if you came to Denver!! Also is there any way i can get this album on cd?? 💖💖
Belle M Thank you so much! And absolutely, I’d be more than happy to mail a CD to you, just email me the address to send it to !

@@teddyhyde Can others email you to get a cd?
@@kiqu7454 He's selling them now on his website teddyhyde.store
This makes me feel emotions that don't exist.
teddy hyde is so underrated after listening to sock footed i was like eh i might not like splitsville though, and now i’ve realized that all of teddy hyde’s songs are probably good
Probably one of my new favorite albums ever! I love how all the songs transition into each other and fit so well side by side, listening to them in order all together is really a wonder. I can totally imagine the weird happenings of the songs taking place in one town. The orchestra feel and the atmosphere each song delivers truly sells it, I'm in love! 💖
I can't believe Splittsville is 3 years old now! they grow up so fast :')
4 YEARS NOW 😭
love how interconnected yet completely unique these songs are
This album really does feel like a colourful town!
Teddy I would like to inform you that you have gotten the certified bop award from me 😊 💖💖💖💖
Can I just say that I haven't properly sat down to draw something for a year and that made me feel horrible but after discovering your songs I'm now drawing all over the place and I'm just so happy and inspired and I love you
This honestly needs more love!! I adore the originality and authenticity of all your music qwq
Also Teddy Hyde is like the fricken coolest name XD
splittsville is such a good album, so many various sounds, emotions and vibes the best really
Anyway thank you for the album, you're doing AMAZING I haven't shut up trying to get my friends to listen to you
Thank you for your epic words. I’m planning on getting it on CD again soon!
oooh yes i'd also love a cd!! i can add it to my collection ^^
Yes! I've been waiting for another album and this is absolutely perfect! The instrumentals are absolutely sickening!!!
Listening to this while there's a storm going on in a whole new kinda experience and I'm loving it
I would sell my soul to the devil to play the tambourine for Teddy’s concert
i accidentally found you through auto play and let me just say how crazy talented you are! i love every song you have made! keep up the good work
Oh my fucking god is that the rantaro rip off that some story channel stole 💀💀
@@eh-hw7yd HAHAHA YEAH

I’ve already listened to the album like three times and I can’t stop loving it 😩😩😩 I love your music so much 💜💜💜
You have no idea how long I’ve waited for this. I literally love all your songs.
this has no dislikes and i’m here for it
oH MY GOD OH MY GOD TEDDY JUST LIKED MY COMMENT IM GOING TO PASS OUT
Your music is absolutely fantastic! There are no other words to describe it but pure genius. Your ability to use such intricate details is just insane. I showed my old music theory teacher your music, they absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to hear what comes out next.
Is it me or does this album has some Cowboy Bebop energy in it!
I just recently found out about this man and I'm not gonna lie, I'm kinda obsessed now💫💫
Keep up the good work 👍👌
God these songs are brilliant! recently became obsessed with your work, and probably won't shut up about it until i become a "dead man", (at which point i'd like that song played at my funeral)
Holy cannoli, Teddy, I've sent links to ALL of my friends. This music is literally just,,, DJWJSJDJEJSJ- I appreciate all the hard work, bud.
Teddy Hyde really is an amazing music creator. each track has a story to be told and you can feel it every time he sings a note. just... wow.
yr stuff is inspiring me to learn the piano
Me and this album spend more time together than me and some of my friends. I consider this album a good friend.
i have so many thinkings about this album im going to shed my skin like a snake please ive made so many ocs based off this
Deadass though, this is truly amazing! Why is this so underrated?! I truly hope one day this gets the attention it deserves! ❤
This man goes ✨𝓗𝓪𝓻𝓭✨
So who was going to show me this masterpiece? Or was I just supposed to find it by myself?
my friend, hidden gems like these are rarely passed on to us. it's up to us to bring them to other people.
omg waited so long for this
I cannot tell you how upset I am at how under-appreciated this is,
You deserve so much more fucking love
I love how the songs in this album transition so cleanly but can still be listened to on their own. Just a 10/10 album in my eyes
I'm just here to add to the love! I'm hoping the next album is going to be just as amazing and moving as the ones before it 💞💞💕💕💖👌👌
This album is blowing my mind. It's incredible. Please never stop making music.
this is inarguably the best and most creative album to be made
true true i agree whole heartedly
factual information
why don't more people see this! like, I jumped from presser diamond co thinking that the full album would have a ton of views and that the song wasn't liked as much so it got fewer views, but no, its less somehow. I can only hope that more of your work becomes as successful as sex with a ghost because you don't get enough credit
your music just hits somewhere different, idk where but it just makes my tummy sink whenever i hear it-
I would like to revise my previous statement after listening to the entire album 3 times.
Qlam This comment is my favorite song on the album
@@teddyhyde much obliged 😤
How did you explain exactly how i felt with both of his albums
Sockfooted is something I feel comfortable to cry to but I straight *_VIBE_* with Splitsville. And I exclusive listen to Talkies at 3 am while writing poetry and/or dissociating. Idk Teddy had range with his songs.
@@cordeliajackson8615 I think Talkies is gonna take me a while to get into. I'm a lazy listener; I like music that hands me its themes on a platter rather than me having to actively listen and interpret. Talkies is feels like it fills a similar purpose to a walk through the woods or listening to some ambient waterfall sounds.
Incredibly underrated this is amazing 🥺
quarantine been making me find such good songs and artists😩
I love that I can say this album was released on my birthday. Makes me feel special.
will there ever be splittsville CDs in the future 💔 this is the best albumive ever heard ever i think
Very soon!

I NEED this on a cd. Im just imagining listening to this in my car, late at night, pointlessly driving.
Yesss!!!! This is great to just listen to let alone an car ride
Honestly yes, like there is nothing else I can say bro. YOU ARE FREAKING GREAT!
That chaos in the begging of channel 01 clown scratches my brain so much. and also how every single song intertwines with each other is just absolutely amazing. Keep up the great work man!! 💜
it seems that the danganronpa fans are everywhere
Good GOD, man. How could I not adore your work? Inconceivable. These two albums are undeniably the most enthralling music I've found in the past year. Thank ya, sir. 🤙☘️

the best thing to come out of this godforsaken fever dream we call 2020

My Small Amatuer Analysis of Splittsville by Teddy Hyde
To the person that dares to read this comment, forgive me for ranting and typing out a whole essay-
(I bet I am making my English teachers very proud doing this lol)
No words can describe how much I love this album.
I see many comments here noting the bittersweet undertone that is prevalent throughout this album, and the reason this album conveys such a tone is the way that hints of death always seems to peek into each song;
My reasoning for this conclusion would be the sounds of burning fire after Jet Plane, implying to me (especially when looking at the lyrics as real metaphors for the plane failing) the plane crashed; Or in Presser Diamond Co., the speaker makes so many statements pondering how his efforts would be taken once dead and as well begs to be crushed, that once Dead Man starts playing, I think the implication here is that Mr. Presser (I call him that everytime I listen to the whole album through) was killed.
And then there would be small words such as “die” in Welcome to Splittsville, “coffin” in Channel 01 Clown.
AND THEN THERE’S TERRENCE, EDDY CROWLEY, AND THE VULTURES OH BOY-
I feel like someone might start typing; “Oh but what about Lazy Bones Bowl-O-Drome?????” BUT BRO- BONES = SKELETONS AND SKELETONS = DEATH YES YES VERY LOGIC THIS IS HOW MY BRAIN WORKS-
(But in all seriousness, to me, the song itself literally feels like some shady dude in cool shades trying to convince me to abandon the present and future for something more “time-stopping” and they are doing a really good job at it (Like death- ok I’ll shut up lol-)
It is kinda due to this theme that it is my headcanon that everyone in this album dies-
But again, even if that’s not the case; the loss-loss and the inability to let go of the past as we keep moving into the future-is what I feel the frequent mentions of death are supposed to allude to. These songs mean these things to me:
Abington’s Arcade and not moving on from nostalgia and our romanticized childhood; Lazy Bones Bowl-O-Drome and the want to stop thinking and run away from crisis of time with escapism; Channel 01 Clown and the reminder that nothing lasts forever other than the memories we make at best; Terry’s Taxidermy and the toll isolation has along with never letting go, leading to remorse and dissatisfaction with what we have because time takes away what we cherish most and since we cannot let go we cannot make room for something newer or more healthy, leading to a desperate vain attempt to renew what has been lost long ago; Target and the unhealthy cycles we perpetuate to commit escapism again only to never get what we want due to the realization that trying is the only way to change things for ourselves; Presser Diamond Co. and the wish to not lose one’s creations and the want to leave behind a imprint on history with those creations; Dead Man and the realization that we are only all equal when dead and that we cannot change our pasts anymore, making regrets pointless as there is nothing to change the past anymore as we fade into nothing as time still moves on despite us.
Thank you for making this album as well, from the bottom of both my heart and the taxidermied bird that is my mind too. -v-
I think I got an addiction- I've been listening to this album every day for the past 2 weeks :'D Terry's Taxidermy do be smth else tho and I'm living for it.
