I actually agree with Paul I've never tasted the traditional English/American Christmas Fruitcake but i've seen video recipies and i have tasted the Italian fruitcake and that is nasty!Give me a chocolate cake all day any day instead or a cake/pie filled with wallnut paste!Yuummyyy!!
I just watched an episode of GOLDEN GIRLS were they talked about fruit cake. They had kept several for years. Decided to give them away at a shelter but ended with more than what they brought somehow.
