Harvesting Red Kidney Beans

I had the pleasure of taking a few days off from the office to go out to the field and help with the harvesting. I used to absolutely abhor farming. Now it's a lot of fun. Maybe cause I found out working in an office is a lot worse than sitting on a tractor, even though that tractor has no roof and the sun burns you alive.

No, the beans are all pulled up by hand then left to dry for a few days before they're carried by hand onto windows. They're left to dry a bit more before harvesting.

These are Red kidney beans. Because of the way they grow with the pods on the underside and having to dry a lot before harvesting its next to impossible. The pods explode when they're dry so most of the. Beans would go to waste if they were just harvested.
