- Welcome to my knitting podcast in English 🤎!
I'm coming to you from the Netherlands so excuse my Dutchy English. I enjoy all the inspiration in the worldwide knitting community so much. I would love to share my 'handwerk perikelen' (also known as crafty adventures) with you.

Thanks for being here!

Sarah it makes me SO happy to hear you talk about “shopping with your values”!!! I try my very best to show support with my dollars. I find that so many don’t understand what an impact this has…..we can shop local, thrift, farmers markets, buy from makers & simply buy less❣
I completely agree with this ❤
I love your work, products, process, progress! You inspire my making so much. Thank you for being a light. I too love brown and muted colours. ❤
Hello Sarah,I am from South Africa and Afrikaans. I enjoy your podcast so much. I also made myself a granny square bag but just ordinary grannies. Love it. Thank you❤
Those little organza bags are perfect for lavender!
Congratulations on the K2P2 Festival! I am so happy for you. I would love to come but I don't think I will be able to travel to the Netherlands this year. Maybe next year if it becomes an annual event. You are such a joy to watch and listen to! Thank you for your podcasts and your lovely way of articulating all of the feelings and thoughts that come to you around your making. I relate to much of what you express. Especially around the way you learn by doing. It is the only way that I can learn and making mistakes is a part of it. I have learned so much from my mistakes. Cheers and have a lovely day.
Your tote bag turned out just lovely, looks like the perfect size for a knitting journal! I would swear that I smelled lavender when you dumped the lavender in your bowl. Definitely wishful thinking! 🌸🌼🌺🌻
Good luck for the dutch soccer boys tonight!!
I have my ticket for K2P2 yay 🎉 I will be alone, so I’m glad that I know knitters are very friendly people, I’m trying to learn a bit of Dutch before I come but in case all I learn is Hallo, goodbye and please and thank you, I will be the one smiling a lot and looking a bit puzzled as I try to follow along! 😂 ❤
Love those socks. If it's in the fall, maybe fingerless gloves to match.❤
Thank you Sarah for another nice episode. Love the lavender bags; I can smell the lovely fragrance.
cori eichelberger has a really cute skirt pattern on Ravelry called the Knitwords Skirt that would look great with your socks!
I love your enthusiasm and excitement about the event you are putting together. I am not able to come over from the USA 😢 but would like to. Regarding the brown bags, since your friend has already purchased them, it would be more of a waste to not use them. All you can do is not buy from them yourself and kindly ask her not to do it again if you can manage that without hurting her feelings. Also I suggest that you check to be sure that you are not bothered by the scent of the lavender before you use it in your yarn. I am very sensitive to that scent and would not be able to use the yarn or wear the garment made from it.
I love your style,Sarah. And how lovely your podcasts are. Thank you.
Another word for ‘cool’ would be ‘trendy’ 😊 thanks for sharing!
Thank that was quite lovely.
Nice! I discovered a volunteer lavender plant in my yard! Hope to make bags one day . . .
I am amused at your reaction to the first clue of the MSAL. I had the same reaction. I was not expecting how the tops were assembled in the end. I think I would prefer the motif horizontally in the round if I were making them. They would be so-not-Steven socks. 😆
Did I tell you, that I love love love, when you mention the good old dutch „hartjumping“ as an englisch „heartjumping“? As I grew up in Aachen near the border to the Netherlands, this warms my childish heart every time. ❤
Dutch is a hard language...but yarn and knitting are universal languages😄❤
Do you play the piano? I am a pianist and have been admiring your piano. Haven't heard of the Murdoch brand before. Love your podcasts.
Sarah, you are so comical, you make me laugh. I understand your purchasing values so well. I have a leather sofa I inherited and I am vegetarian! 😅 it is very comfy, but it is cowskin and does not align with my values. I have decided I can have leather things but only if they are second hand😂
💚🧶💚
Since you didn’t buy the chiffon bags yourself and are using them for a long term purpose rather than treating them as disposable, I think your values are intact. So don’t feel bad.
The little bags were a gift, so it would be rude not to accept them. 😉🤎🤎🤎
