    No, Revivals didn't "Go Away". We do drag and drive events annually, and we take our fans along. And yes, race events were in our first 15 videos ever. It's who we are - racing, builds, and revivals. Thanks to the true fans that understand we like to do events, especially my wife and I, or my family and I. Since we work 365 days a year, we don't get "vacations", or "time off". This is as close as we get, and we enjoy it.

    I lived in north western MN and eastern ND for many years....I moved to TN 18 years ago and am still amazed at how terrible they are at handling snow down here. We got 6" last Monday and like you said....out of school for a whole week!.....I sure wish it worked like that growing up in the great white north! We didn't miss school for 6" of snow per DAY......lol I feel your pain about being basically snowed in with not much snow......Enjoy it while you can.....Summers are brutal!

    • @shawnpotts7207
      @shawnpotts7207 8 місяців тому +4

      The thing about it is this: it snows where the snow actually sticks to the ground and causes issues here maybe every 4 years. And that's only once during the whole winter. It doesn't make sense for the counties/cities to purchase and upkeep a fleet of plows and such that will rarely ever get used. It's much easier to just have 1 or 2 snow days every few years. This year was a freak event that wasn't even snow. I live in a rural area close to the TN line and it took over a week for the literal inches of ice to thaw.

    • @edlafond1
      @edlafond1 8 місяців тому +2

      @@shawnpotts7207 I agree.....the main problem for me is that nasty brine that the county sprays before it snows. It just makes a mess under the snow....why not wait for the snow to stop then put the brine down?.....It might actually have some effect other than rusting out our cars. But, my kids don't mind and I do enjoy the snow and cold weather....lol, how often do you hear that?:o)

    Derek you do know that heat rises . I didn't understand why thy didn't run your heat down the wall so that it could blow out across the floor and then rise up gradually. I love watching you fix this Chevy Chevelle up and that engine looks like you should have 4 giant parachutes on the back of it. It looks really fast AF . I can't wait to hear it , it's sound really good. Keep up the great work and God Bless you and your family brother. ✌️😊👍💯🙏🏼

    You could use some shrink tubing of different colors to designate your fuel feed and return lines, it's available in a bunch of different sizes and colors, everything from white to red, green, and blue, even orange. A little dab of matching paint next to the matching fitting would make things easier for a feller. I don't like using tape, it eventually either falls off or just gets everything all sticky and attracts dirt. Shrink tubing is our friend. All the best to you and the family, Derek.

    While I really miss the channel that I first started watching years ago, which included your original shop in Wisconsin and trips to your home near Stanley, ND and trips to the Black Hills of SD, I understand how things change. You have your business model, and it's doing well for you. You should be proud of what you've accomplished!

    Derek with the ride height if you have the alignment plates for your 4 post makes it easier. You just bounce the front end up and down a few times on the plates and it will mostly settle to correct position

    That Chevelle is absolutely beautiful! That car, and color was my dream car growing up. Never got a chance to own or play in one but it sure is nice to watch a feller wrenching on this one. She's going to be a really impressive ride once she's all dialed in.

    It would be nice if you could find some tall, wide welding curtain to hang from the ceiling and block off one side of the shop to help keep the heat in a little better.

    Yeah I think it's funny how quickly they close schools and shut the state down after three snow flakes 😅!
    Where you're from I reckon blizzards are pretty much a normal thing up there!
    I'm a early '67 model and when we were kids up here in New England,weed walk to school in lots of snow and storms, stuff today they shut down for was just normal back then and everything was open!
    I'm surprised you don't have a waste oil burning stove or a wood burning stove for the shop. Car guys save the waste oil and winter is for burning it up for warmth.
    She's coming along nicely. Thanks again.

    On the last fuel tank I changed, I took a can of the coating spray and sprayed the top of it in the sides. And it, besides everything else, the seal it from rusting or getting chips. You have the corn protected the tank a little bit
