Dahaad is a tone down version of paatal lok, delhi crime and mirzapur..
My problem is 8 episodes were to much, it could have been ended in 5 episodes easily...
Its passable though
What a sad state of affairs this comment section is. You deserved better, Suchin. Your review was very nuanced and very well articulated.
Loved your review. This show is more social commentary than thriller. I enjoyed it a lot though. But the end was dragged out and disappointing. I would have preferred some twists that gave insights into what made Anand do it and how it all began rather than a dragged-out manhunt. Also, I agree that Sonakshi could not rise up to the level of her amazing costars. It looked like she was 'acting' rather being immersed in character.
I wouldn’t call it a mystery, more like cat and mouse chase psychological thriller
I agree with you
Most of the social message lands up really well but the suspense and adrenaline rush is missing
and the ending is underwhelming because we don’t get the monologues or longer take on why Vijay Verma did what he did it’s to short and should have had more time given in the final episode
But still a very good watch to say the least
Even after watching 8 episodes if u think it was just a Thriller, then you clearly missed the point. Agreed it had some pretentious social commentary, but I felt its Merits outshined the small issues that u mentioned. This was more of a 'Watch it for its cast' & not just the story- right from Gulshan, Vijay, Sona & Soham, even smaller actors like Vijay's brother, wife, father, all the victims acted amazingly. Add to that the beautiful cinematography, art direction & my god why is nobody talking about the BGM. My Rating 8/10 (fyr Jubilee was 9/10 for me, Rocket Boys 2 was 10/10)
Suchin needs a dedicated podcast....
Love this guy, he's sensible and humble unlike most other reviewers
Angira Dhar and Isha Talwar in "Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo" acted much better than Sonakshi in this series, given the fact that her screen presence is 5 times more than both of them combined in "Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo", yet her acting was just average! The star of the series is Vijay Verma and is well supported by Gulshan.
Why so much hatred bruh? She was not all that bad. And why so much comparison? Relax for two seconds. Cheers!
@@vishwasjain9668 The question is that why did you find hatred here brother? I praised the other actors who never gets the limelight just cos they dnt come from a politician/filmi background and compared her performance with some other performances. Kindly see the performance of the actors I mentioned and analyze. I also parised the actors who actually carried the web series through their performances in Dahaad.
To be honest I liked this review as much as I liked the show. Just love the words used in the review to describe stuffs.
Loved some of the social messages in the series
Is it a review or story synopsis. All the time i felt like spoiler alert.
Very mediocre show. Could have been better. Very formulaic topic which is covered in other shpws in much better way. The main character could have been played by better actor.
How does one know if a person is from a lower caste ? Surname ?
If your object is to warn us off this fine drama, you would have failed with me. Not a word about the stunning cinematography, music, lighting, and places especially for the non-Indian audiences. A terrific cast and script.
There is a reason I continue to watch Suchin, Anupama, Sucharita and Rahul. They are unlike many other, there aren't bigots. You guys continue to be you without changing your opinions according to the narrative in the media. I will always watch the reviews even if I don't watch the shows. Also "files and stories" was pretty cool, also not subtle. Love you guys.❤
Not a peep from these guys about the biggest blockbuster this year, and yet they say they love cinema. Ok.
Resting scowling face😀🤪😀. ! Good one !!
Review is disappointing. Expecting masala in every webseries/movie is the draw back of Bollywood effect. The show deals with many layered humanly characters , drama , imperfectness amongst family & friends, There are many high moments. Ending could have been much better. Story, , multi-threads are well weaved. Photography tried to show Rajasthan's interior rustic beauty, some what acceptable to very good in places. needs improvement ( speed, height, the scope ) in drone shots??? , are they? Hindu-muslim boy/girl needless in this serial-killer drama.
Aah! This comment section…
Thanks for mentioning Dahaad is a necessary response to 'filles and stories'. Good to know. Will give it a miss now.
Zoya- Reema is the modern Salim-Javed, or should I say, Javed-Salim !!
So true I don't understand why some people think Sonakshi is underrated
Irrelevant* is the right word for her
Just because of Sonakshi most of the people are gonna avoid this show
If you've seen Lootera, you can then realise that she has potential but Sonakshi always choose Bad script and safe roles.
@@TheWitcher99 No one is forcing Sonakshi to chose bad scripts she is not some innocent bakra. One Lootera doesn't make her a good actress
@@prabhathalovesmovies yeah I'm also not saying that someone is forcing her to chose bad script but he has 99% times chosen bad roles.
Nice review
Anupama, Suchin, Sucharita will find Kerala Story, Kashmir Files bigotry and Pathan the need of the hour. In the first 15 mins of a Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar production, one gets a see the same old Hindu girl-Muslim boy story unnecessary inducted which only drags the series to 8 long episodes, the bad constables are the doing pooja inside the police station and much more! Yeah, it's quite the feeling when you know who the makers are. The few good things about the tiresome series is the fantastic Vijay Verma, the performance of the supporting cast, primarily Gulshan, art direction, cinematography and the way they have showed Rajasthan, from the interior of a home to the police stations.
The left propaganda is as much propaganda as the right. Leftists often call right propaganda "bigotry" but the left propaganda is often white-washed.
Islam is the most regressive religion right now but these woke retards doesn't have the balls to point those out....cowards
Bro review in simple understandable terms. Your review makes me wanna not watch only.
Not watching this series...again simping of mus...!
BOYCOTT NEPOTISM SAVE BOLLYWOOD
Really well described review encapsulating balanced and practical views across all aspects
Its a propaganda series.
Every piece of media is propaganda. I'd rather watch propaganda like Dahaad which gives representation to the people on the base of the social pyramid (upright lower caste women police officer in this case) and makes you think and challenges your social views rather than the crap Akshay Kumar or Salman Khan puts out.
Review taj
Well put
Rima Katgi the worst director india has every produced… she keeps playing this women card and tries to be librandu .. 🤮🤮🤮🤮
Because she is not making films where men are everything and women are there just as supporting characters?
Okay.
So, you'll like her more if she made a film where she played the men card? Good for you bro. But aren't you tired of watching those movies that exists already. I mean 99% movies are men centric where they do the heavy lifting. There's nothing wrong with that. But something else is also good for the diversity. If you do not like diversity then.. yes Rima will not work for you as a director.
@@manashimallik7180 yes I specially remember movie Gold .. what a women oriented film 😂😂😂 written and directed by Rima Katgi the librandu 😂😂😂
@@manashimallik7180I loved Saas, Bahu aur Flamingo which is also centered around women but this is an uselessly dragged series.
Didn't enjoy the series because I knew about the modus operandi of Cyanide Mohan. Google him.
Just finished watching
It's mediocre af 🥱
Loved the review. I so agree with Suchin that it is Gulshan who steals every scene he is in. The nuance that he brings to his character of an honest to a fault police officer, the way he tries to take his daughter along in his fight against patriarchy, is all done so beautifully. The series could well be concluded in the 5th or 6th episode, I only sat till the end for Mr. Devaiah.
