Hi Kate! Just wanted to say thank you so much for producing such fun content. I just wanted to share a funny store of how you impacted me and my roommates from college. Basically from your graph the night video my roommate Michael (we call him Big Mike) has been watching your videos. He would study with your songs in the background and there was not a day that would pass where our apartment would not head the words graph the night away. But fast forward to now and we all graduated and are in separate areas, we still connect over your songs. We just listened to this video over FaceTime, haha! So thank you so much, your videos are spreading lots of joy!
@@joshuazhang5152 Thanks for sharing your story! I had no idea my songs would have such a lasting impact. I’m glad I have the opportunity to produce content that people can enjoy together.

I am taking Linear Algebra this semester. Now its going to be fun learning about inverse matrices, thinking about this video! This video is going into a special playlist of some of my favorite videos on UA-cam, sincerely.
Please never stop making parodies, their quality is so much higher than any others I’ve found online, and they make me so excited to understand all this random math i see in front of me 😂😂 I’ll be starting uni (aerospacw engineering) next week and while i dont understand any of this math yet, im incredibly excited to learn all of it!
@@woutervanverseveld5074 Hahaha as long as I continue seeing random math in front of me the parodies will continue. Glad you’re excited about starting uni; good luck!

If Taylor Swift songs are as nice as this, I will seriously consider becoming a Swiftie myself, and if I do, it will be your responsibility Kate! I can't seem whether if found my new favourite & absolute banger math parody, or if I had been mesmerized by the travel blog footage, in any case, thanks for this new work of art.
Another amazing parody, Kate! I appreciate all the work you and your friends/family put into creating and producing these for us math nerds to watch lol. You're so clever and creative! Would love to see a whole Taylor Series (pun intended) of parodies. Would sub these into my study playlist haha. Looking forward to your next project. Keep expanding (pun maybe?) your mind for more marvellous ideas!
@@yeoitshan Thanks for your kind words! I’m actually trying to see if I can diversify the music genres of my parodies - I feel like sooner or later people will get tired of pop. But just like me when I write them, you never know 🤭
my partner found this video and I was like "oh this is so fun and cute.... HOLD UP DID SHE JUST CASUALLY JUMP A TRIPLE???? IN A TAYLOR SWIFT PARODY VIDEO??????????"
Hey, I noticed a mistake in the video. When presenting the problem of the title (u belongs in V) on the whiteboard, you made a sign error in the fourth coordinate of the third vector, writing a 1 instead of a -1. Otherwise, u would simply be the sum of the three vectors. This actually influences the result: Since the first three coordinates of the vectors are linearly independent, and sum to the first three coordinates of u, taking the sum of the coordinates would have been the only way to write u as a linear combination of the vectors, which doesn't work. This means that u actually doesn't belong to V, so the title of the video should be changed :) Also, you mentioned you have trouble writing linear algebra proofs, but I hope you keep doing these even after finishing the subject, writing proofs can be really fun! Especially on a rich subject like linear algebra!
@@caspermadlener4191 Oops, good catch! That was one of my old homework problems and it’s very likely I missed the sign while copying it down onto the board. Thank you! I’m sure I’ll get more proof-writing practice but you’re right; it takes practice :)
@@skatewang2005 The most fun linear algebra problems I ever made can be found on the International Mathematics Competition, IMC for short. My favourite problem of this year was on the first day, I think problem 3. Suppose A is an n⨯n-matrix consisting of only zeros and ones, such that A² is the matrix consisting of all ones. For which n>0 is this possible?
