Looking back at when Tai Tzu Ying skipped the World Championship competition to play at a home event in Taiwan, it was a really bad decision. She was absolutely destroying the field during that period of time so she most likely could have gotten a world title if she had chosen to play there ... now she seems likely destined to become like Lee Chong Wei, a great great player who never won a world title ... it feels really sad because she clearly can beat everyone she faces but somehow strangely just falls during the world titles. Now all she has for consolation, like Lee Chong Wei, is the year end tour Final which is not regarded with the same prestige as the world titles or olympics singles ... Hopefully she can get her world title before she ends her career :(

TTY gave it all till the end like a champ. I thought it was all over when the third game was at 11-6, but she fought back to 21-18 and was agonizingly close. This match was such a roller coaster of emotions to watch as a Taiwanese and loved it despite the result. Congrats to Yu Fei who ultimately was the better player in this match!
I am from Taiwan and I am proud that we have a player like TTY. This is definitely the best badminton final out of all five from this Olympic Games. The game really could have gone either way. You see tai tzu ying definitely has a attractive game and excellent skills but chen yufei had better mental strength you can see she was retrieving so many great shots of tai that it put pressure on tai to do something special and so she ended up making errors. But in her semi final against sindhu, sindhu wasn't able to read tai's game at all. Hence all the three players got what they deserved in these games. Congrats to everyone 🎉🎉🎊🎊💐💐

Thats nothing new. when lin dan won 2012 gold. the whole stage was cheering and screaming but she seem shocked, she didn't even say a word for 2 minutes since the last point lcw hit it long. there were no congrats or anything. finally, she said something with a very slow, sad, sour and low voice. it sounded like someone in her family has passed away.

Tai Tzu Ying is not losing this game, because she fight the difficult games with Thailand and India. At the other way around, Chen Yu Fei only fight with easy games (with Turkey and Egypt , the funny part, she even fight with her own Chinese teammate).... So if you view what they went through, then you know Tai Tzu Ying is much more skillful and powerful. Chen Yu Fei trained herself to "not making the false ". and not aggressive to take the active role when she played with Tai Tzu Ying at final. Tai Tzu Ying is really a winner. SO Tai Tzu Ying is a real winner, she is the spirit of sportswomanship! Even though she did not win the "GOLD" this time, but she is a "GOLD winner" inside of many people's heart. And chen got 90% of the points in final set because of tai tzu's errors..even chen could have lost in straight set if tai could win the 1st set but again she did errors in end of 1st set.. So unlucky for tai tzu at the same time too lucky for chen that tai tzu was doing this many errors.. If tai could executed the game she played against sindhu without much error then chen was finished..

Watching this match for the 10th time, what an incredible match! Being a Tai Tzu Ying fan I think Tai Tzu Ying made lots of unforced errors during the match because of those errors she has lost many important points. Impressed by Chen Yu Fei's calmness and solid play.

Many ppl said that Chen won due to TTY made a lot of mistake，but actually Chen was using psychology when against TTY, this the main reason why TTY made a lot of mistake. TTY LIKE LCW 2.0, both of them can't handling pressure during big competition. When chen won, my mind suddenly came out with a sentences: " Oh... Taiwanese's heart is broken by China...."

Thats nothing new. when lin dan won 2012 gold. the whole stage was cheering and screaming but she seem shocked, she didn't even say a word for 2 minutes since the last point lcw hit it long. there were no congrats or anything. finally, she said something with a very slow, sad, sour and low voice. it sounded like someone in her family has passed away.
I would say Yu Fen won solely because she had an amazing defense that TTY needed to put out everything she had until she made errors herself. Amazing game quality this was

Tai Tzu Ying is not losing this game, because she fight the difficult games with Thailand and India. At the other way around, Chen Yu Fei only fight with easy games (with Turkey and Egypt , the funny part, she even fight with her own Chinese teammate).... So if you view what they went through, then you know Tai Tzu Ying is much more skillful and powerful. Chen Yu Fei trained herself to "not making the false ". and not aggressive to take the active role when she played with Tai Tzu Ying at final. Tai Tzu Ying is really a winner.
SO Tai Tzu Ying is a real winner, she is the spirit of sportswomanship! Even though she did not win the "GOLD" this time, but she is a "GOLD winner" inside of many people's heart. This time, she faced many challenging games (with India and Thailand) before , she won all the people's heart already. All of her plays are really amazing! Tai Tzu Ying is people's gold winner. @@vasusharma4519 bro we have seen in 3rd set what tai did.. Chen couldn't get even a single point from tai when she stopped making errors and that was clearly visible in final set.. And chen got 90% of the points in final set because of tai tzu's errors..even chen could have lost in straight set if tai could win the 1st set but again she did errors in end of 1st set.. So unlucky for tai tzu at the same time too lucky for chen that tai tzu was doing this many errors.. If tai could executed the game she played against sindhu without much error then chen was finished..

Yes I agree. I love to watch TTY play. She is one of my favourite badminton players! She has to minimise her mistakes on the court. She is a great player but her mistakes cost her the game. I am sure she will get better in her next games! 加油💪！👏👏
