Right idea, however 2hp will not be nearly enough juice to run 3 saw blades. On my Coutts edger/gang saw I run a 75hp baldor motor. With a total of up to 8 blades in a gang formation at maximum. Edging, theres 5. 2 are adjustable 36" wide indeed.
2hp is not enough hp in my opinion. A 10in cabinet saw runs 3-5hp and that's one 1 blade. I'll be building an edger soon and plan on using between 10-15hp for a 3 blade setup.

hi looks good what size pulleys have you used put it in service yet ? would a 5-7 hp motor work
How are the blades kept in place? The shaft that passes through them looks larger than normal
