I am glad to know that Indian car brands are competing in the premium segment. A difficult path for foreign brands to compete with the locals (the price obviously is the game changer). guys your videos are informative & in-depth as always but as some who loves the content you put out, I thought it important to mention that in the past few videos, the microphone quality has decreased significantly. Don't know if its the issue with the device or what exactly but there's this annoying background noise on the microphone throughout the video. Hope you'll pay attention to this minor detail if not done already.

Great comparison! I think in the end even you could not decide which is better. Having driven an XUV 500 since last 9 years, I’m a big fan of the platform and the Mahindra service, which I have found much better than, Volkswagen, Skoda, Tata and Hyundai, all of whose cars I’ve had.
I really liked the XUV’s features, specially the ADAS AND BLIND SPOT MONITORING, which are much more user friendly. Would go for an XUV any day, since the safari name is now dated.

Rachit, I too loved the comparison. What's the difference between these cars while driven in Manual gear box. Which has a good pickup and stability and smooth transition while you switch the gears.

With its adjustable second row seats, Safari was already the better 7 seater. All it lacked was features, which it has now caught up with. Safari all the way. XUV needs an update. They need to make the second row seats adjustable in the XUV and add ventilated seats.

Well timed! One thing I disagree from your review is about the engine noise. XUV700 had lot of diesel drone even below 2000rpm. Safari on the other hand sounded harsh only higher up the rpm range. This is as per my test drive experience.
I believe the drive experience of XUV700 and Safari are the main differentiating factor now and they will appeal to opposite spectrum of people. Those who would love the drive of safari won't like the XUV700 experience et all and vice versa. I finally booked safari.
Actually the engine isn’t louder - XUV diesel auto shifts are much later than that in Safari. But Safari engine has more noise and vibrations also.
Still I will prefer 700 it looks more aggressive... And it's beautiful interior..
No doubt safari is great but i will still prefer 700 as its more powerful d offers awd..

Still gonna go with XUV700 due to Dynamic swipe indicators, Auto-booster headlamps and most importantly engine power. Tata should have upgraded the looks of Safari and Harrier seems they were in a hurry to bring a competitor to the XUV 700.

Tata should change the logo like Mahindra. They should also bring Elecreic steering and tailgate. They will be on top.
@@rakeshb2010 hydraulic steering is more safer than electronic steering.. As such the steering of both xuv and safari is easy on the hands and easy to manouver .. So it's preferable to have hydraulic of safari vs electronic steering of xuv when the steering feedback of both is more or less same

I have booked xuv700 AX7L Diesel Auto and my expected delivery is still in November, I was thinking of switching over to safari but ADAS was keeping me in dilemma.
