Great reactions to one of my favorite Arnold Schwarzenegger films. I’m so sorry to hear about Shadow and Boo. I’m wishing the very best for you all! Kurt Russell, Robin Williams, and even Chuck Norris were once considered for the role of John Kimble. Ironically given that Arnold Schwarzenegger was a huge proponent of physical education, he wanted that theme to be included in the film. He also wanted Ivan Reitman to direct given that they had worked together in the 1988 comedy Twins. They wanted to touch upon broken homes and abuse that many children silently endure as another key theme for this movie. Schwarzenegger has stated this is one of his favorite films as he enjoyed working with the kids and it was a departure from his typical action films.
Toy and Hannah, you ladies looked like you wanted to adopt all the kids. Anyway, Arnold had a reunion with the Kindergarten Cop student cast about 2 years ago that is on UA-cam. He surprised them when they were being interviewed about the popularity of the film.
This was me the other night throwing up but it was because I was drunk and had to call my mom to pick me up who was so happy with me lol. My father wasn't a wealthy man but I don't care and wouldn't change anything. He cared about his family, treated his children well and loved my mom and always put us first. He was a good man and I'm honored to be named after name.

16:20 Fun Story. There been a reunion video in 2020 or 2021, and this guy introduced himself as the only guy who did spit on Arnold and still alive to talk about it.
during covid, there was a reunion video with some of the kids now, & the host surprised them with Arnold joining them its on youtube: " Watch a 'Kindergarten Cop' reunion get completely surprised by Arnold Schwarzenegger Yahoo Entertainment " (sorry youtube woin't let me the link) but its pretty neat if you want to check it out
What a good collaboration! Can we dream of a next collaboration with Popcorn and Bed? or TBR Schmitt?, which are another of my favorite reaction channels.
8/10 Wasn't expecting it to work, but it did... Kindergarten Cop was a surprisingly good film. I was not expecting it to work, and it worked so much better than I expected it to. Kindergarten Cop is a little overlong and the villains are perhaps a little too pantomime. However, the film does look lovely, and the score and soundtrack gives it its heart-warming sentiment. The script also worked. It was funny, it was poignant and it was well-meaning, while there is also a heart-warming story, good direction and pacing and the action while sometimes intense is well-handled. I was very surprised by the acting. Kindergarten Cop is not Arnold Schwarznegger's best film, but it does show that he can do comedy, and here he does do it well. He is suitably low-key and avoids being wooden as well. Penelope Ann Miller gives good support as well, and the chemistry between the two is convincing without taking over the film too much. The characters could have easily been stereotypical and unlikeable, but they aren't, instead they have a certain warmth to them, and this is including the kids. Overall, not a comedy classic, but it works far better than it should have done. 8/10 Bethany Cox
You guys should check out the online video reunion that Arnold had with the (now grown up) child actors from the movie. Many of the actors said that experience helped them as kids or helped them as parents interacting with their own kids.
If you liked the little kid with the bowl hair, you should check Mercury Rising, he is the star alongside Bruce Willis. He also appears in Wes Craven New Nightmare.
Why didn’t crisp just wait until school got out and follow Joyce’ and Dominic home? Was crisp really gonna drag Dominic out kicking and screaming in front of all those people?
Thank you for another great reaction! Hopefully Boo and Shadow get all the help they need soon :( I so wish I could help having recently lost my companion to natural causes :(
Truly sorry for your loss. Our viewers have been immensely kind, so the surgery fund is growing. Their appointments are next week. Obviously, they're getting their treatment regardless of donations, but people's generosity is making it much easier to be able to handle the expense. Without those, we would have to put the UA-cam channel on hold, like we did last year when Happy had her surgery, as I had to work a lot extra, to pay for it.
@@RuntotheMovies It is great your community is helping :) That is understandable having to put the channel on hold while you sort out medical expenses. I'm sure anyone with their own companions would understand doing anything you can to get them the help they need :) Keep being great guys and here's hoping everything goes well :)
1. "Mr. Morbid" is stealing the show early on. 2. Fun. This movie is perfect for the "Kids say the darndest things" trope. 3. Rachel got money from somewhere. Elementary teachers don't make enough money to live in a place like that. 4. I suspect the motive was more of a grandma thing than anything else. 5. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy/gal.👺👺
Great reaction but a funny thing is now we're living in a time where saying boys have a penis and girls have a vagina is considered controversial when it's just the truth.
27:44 Ghostbusters bed coverings. Ivan Reitman RIP is the director of Ghostbusters 1 & 2.
"It's NOT uh Toomah," is right up there with "Get to dah CHAPAH!!!"
filmed in Astoria Oregon, same town used in The Goonies and Short Circuit
Oh wow. Both such classics.
During filming at one point Arnold Schwarzenegger was splitting his time between Oregon and California to film Terminator 2
Good movie !
Thats just gold info 😊

Thanks so much for the kind words. Shadow and Boo had successful treatments and are now recovering.
Fun fact: the boy at 38:18 is Jason Reitman. Ivan's Reitman (the director) son. When Jason became the director of one of my favorite movies: Juno.
Thanks for this tidbit!
I THINK I have heard of Juno...? 🤔
why is it one of your faves?
i'd love to know? ☺

A lot of the same locations are visible in the Goonies movie (it was filmed there too).

Edna Mode mode from The Incredibles always reminds me of the principal in this movie.

If the principal knew about Zack’s father, why didn’t she call the authorities long before Kimble arrived?
Knowing about abuse and not reporting it could get the principal fired

VAL KILMER!!!! Hahaha I’m dead 😵 😂 you guys are great!!!! Very funny!!!!!!!
Doesn't he kind of look like a Costco version of Val Kilmer?
I'd agree Richard Tyson could easily have played a relation to Val. I immediately recognized Tyson in Blackhawk Down in that incredible ensemble cast.
