Hi there, thank you so much for posting this! I was the bass player on the program ('79 - '89), and am performing on this video. (And yes, that was Bebe singing backup!) Terry Peoples
That is so cool! I love your bass playing. That show was very influential on my playing in HS as a drummer and trumpet player. I’d be interested in hearing who else was in the band at the time and if any are still playing. I remember the lead trumpet player was amazing too - Brubaker??
@@editdan hey there. Thanks for the kind words. Some of us are still playing. Larry Brubaker and Karl Seivers played trumpet and are still at it. Derek Floyd played timpani and is headlining cruise ship shows. Paul Nabb still plays (guitar). Sonny Burnette is playing lots of sax gigs.
I think the guy who started the song was my cousin. I never really knew him, but I heard from other family members that he was one of the PTL Singers back then. Was that Michael Morgan?
By the way...I am standing beside Bebe in the back...along with Tina Boyce Brubaker. I had just recently turned 19 when this was performed. I was the newest PTL Singer, singing tenor for the group. I treasure the people here. All I learned musically while working with these people has been invaluable. Bebe taught me so much...and Cece was simply beautiful...inside and out. Their brothers...especially Ronald...were such an inspiration to me. They are loved forever.
1:28. Thanks for sharing! I always wondered what the name of that guy singing the solo is? The blonde one. Also, in this 4-shot, who is the lady on the right side? I think she also used to sing on that show “Love Worth Finding” with (Mark?) Findlay? Was that the name of the show she sang on? It aired on Saturday or Sunday afternoon in TBN while I was in master control troll every week… Thanks in advance!
I love CeCe Winans. Such an Anointed Christian lady, singer, wife, & Mom... She's a role model to so many of us younger ladies (well at 42 I'm not very young)...
THEY DON'T DO IT LIKE THIS NO MO!...i thank GOD 4 whoever posted this video!...i have ALWAYS luved this song!...i was n high school when it 1st came out & have looked 4 it a long time!...I am not ashamed!...saaaannnnnnggggg cece!
Wow! this whole ensemble of singers, led by CW, and band just exploded. It is filled with excitement and power. I love it! I didn't realize PTL singers had so much style range very talented.
I came here because I just saw a video of CeCe Winans and she mentioned how she recorded, "Count On Me" with Whitney Houston 25 years ago. So I'm like how old is she? She will be 57 in October 2020. That made me go back and look at these old videos 'cause I am like I remember her from the early 80's on Jim Baker. She truly is a LEGEND and her voice is just as beautiful and powerful today as it was over 40 years ago! WOW!!! Whoever watched this go find a recent video of CeCe performing live and you'll agree...SHE IS AWESOME and God truly has blessed her!
I got to see CeCe live for a Christmas concert. The second gospel concert I have ever seen. SHE WAS UNREAL! Very sweet and so anointed. That concert turned into church for a few minutes cuz she took the place into praise after Oh Holy Night. One of my favorites.
I had no idea that this song had been around as long as it had. Nonetheless, CeCe Winans ministered this song from her soul like she always does. Thanks for sharing your heart and ministry through song.
get cece's new album in stores now!!!!!!! called "thy kingdom come" there are songs like this that will bless u in your very soul...and when you buy the cd be sure to buy two and three copies as a seed into cece's ministry....she has been a blessing so let us be a blessing back back amen...may the good lord bless you and keep you
The guy singing the solo part with CeCe is Michael Morgan. I notice some put my name as the singer. I am in the video singing with the group...but I am not the one "dueting" with Cece. And Michael Morgan did pass away in New York City, where he was involved in the fashion industry. I noticed Terry Peoples commented here, also...as he was the bass player during my tenure as a PTL Singer. The people in the Music Department when I arrived at PTL were a GREAT group of people to work with. God bless!
Wow! Michael Morgan was my cousin. I never knew him, but the resemblance to other family members is striking. They have passed as well. I look forward to the day when distance and death no longer separate people.
wow this is truly a blessing to be listening to this song that i last heard in the late 80s early 90s.i pray that this will be a blessing to every ear that listens.
OMG 😱😱😱 she sounds like this today but I have to also mention her and Whitney got the same tone and resonance they coulda been sisters and not knowing all these years frfr
Oh my, this is what was to come. Even back than she pack a Powerful Voice. I never seen this show b/c i was a babe back in the 80s and no repeats of it's airing. SO Thank you for posting the video Love the song. No Joke, 4 years ago I rock out that hair do and I look gooood ;) Is That Bebe in the background? The both of them look so young. It's like watching your Aunty and Uncle. Praise the Lord!!
I know. I moved to Pontiac in '79. I thought I could sing until Elder Lyons and his wife took me to be their Praise singer to a church in Detroit. Bebe and Cece got their debut at a concert their brothers were having. Man, Marvin could really preach back then. I haven't heard him lately.
Noemia/RJ Brasil

35 years later and CeCe's voice hasn't changed one bit

I read you reply with the name of the blonde guy. Thanks for all the info.
wow CEce's voice is ageless...and has been the same consistent spirit and talent since the early 80's....so amazing...
CeCe Winans' voice is as pure and strong now as it was in her earlier days of singing. She is truly a blessing to the world.

What a silly comment. Everybody looks better when they're 19 and don't have anything to cover up.
