That’s so exciting, Nate! The custard is actually called Pasteis de Nata! It’s a Portuguese custard. So excited you got to try it, it was a staple in our household growing up. Glad you had a great trip & it was lovely to meet and chat with you at Fan Expo! Hope you get to come to Canada again soon 😊
As a Portuguese Canadian, it’s one of my favourites… my dad gets them every weekend when we have our family get together… I gotta always have one for desert 😂

So glad you came to Toronto! Next time I recommend going to Kensington Market. Great food there! Graffiti alley is also a great place to go if you like street art. There are also a lot of great festivals in the summer that celebrate the diverse cultures here.

My family and I were just recently in Orlando hitting the theme parks. Flew out on the day that Hurricane Idalia hit Florida. Thank God for keeping everyone safe. Thanks for visiting our city. Visit Windsor Ontario!! It borders with Detroit michigan. Windsor is also known for their shawarma shops and pizzerias .
Love the video Nate! I live up in Buffalo right near Canada and have gone to Toronto a few times this summer, it really is a huge city. And yes the conversion rate is great, currently at 74 cents per dollar so every $100 Canada Dollars only costs $74 US Dollars. Always love buying things in Canada, getting over a 25% discount with the exchange rate
Unfortunately not so great for us visiting the US, we get screwed with conversion rates 😢
I learn about other places through their food, mostly taking foodie tours, so I love how you do the same thing. I've had Canadian Bacon before, but never knew it by that name. I guess it's a different way of smoking/preparing it. Thanks for the market visit! You're my hero for so many reasons, but now have to add the Edge Walk to the list of reasons why. Toronto is our favorite city! We are from Long Island and drive up. We got engaged in the Distillery District and always try to catch the Yanks or Mets play when we are there. We are huge hockey fans so the HHOF is always a stop for us. If you arent a hockey fan, it's still a fun place.

I would love to see you go back to Toronto! I vacationed there a few years back and the city has such a nice, relaxed vibe. Canada's Wonderland is definitely 1 of my favourite theme parks.

I am a Toronto area resident....and I did the Edge Walk about 10 years ago.....definitely one of the coolest things I've ever done! Once you feel comfortable with the safety gear, it is incredble!

Toronto is amazing! I grew up there, but have lived in Montreal for the past 20 yrs.
If you have the opportunity, you should visit Montreal (in the summer months) for all our festivals, amazing culture and some of the world’s greatest restaurants!

Toronto is awesome during Christmas time. I live right across Lake Ontario and can get over the boarder anytime. Love going to Canada. Was just in Niagara Falls for my Birthday. The craziest thing I did was the zipline over the falls. Gonna have to try the edge walk.

The custard tart is a Portuguese famous tart known as Pastal de Nata.
I would recommend visiting San Francisco sandwiches and Nova Era for more Portuguese desserts.

Just wanted to mention that in September and October Friday -Sunday nights Canadas Wonderland does a Halloween haunts similar to Halloween horror nights in universal studios so you might want to check that out if you ever come back in the fall
