- I don't know how much more of this nonsense I can handle. Sean Payton has defied all expectations as a coach, discovering our future franchise quarterback, Bo Nix, at the 12th pick when the mainstream media said he was only a 2nd or 3rd rounder at best. Despite lingering baggage from Bountygate and his discreet, no-nonsense approach, the NFL seems to disdain Payton and his work with the Denver Broncos. His players have locked in to his media silence and it infuriates them. Bo Nix is ahead of schedule, earning the trust of the entire team and fostering a culture of winning surrounded by "young and contagious energy." This success irritates the national media, who desperately want him to fail!
Today, we look at a story in USA Today that describes the Denver Broncos as an "awful team" in "dire straits" and even suggests that Sean Payton is on the hot seat. How does seeing such reports from the mainstream media sit with you? For me, it makes me want to turn off my Google Alerts because the slander is so over the top. I just pretty much ignore the national media. I find no value there and I do not wish to waste time (at 66 years old, I do not have as much time left to waste as I once did) or give them what they want and that is to spread hate. Words only have meaning if you give it to them.
Yeah ESPN is a joke anymore for example. My Broncos news source are good channels like this one.
These are the same pundits that said Zach Wilson was a good pick at 2 over all. Pundits suck...

Sean Payton is the HC period! What coach says is the bottom line! Payton was righteous on the sideline that day with Russ. He got just what he cooked and burnt for himself.

In addition to a Buff fan I’m a huge Duck fan and I watched nearly every game the last 2 years. Especially last year, I was highly impressed with Nix and thought him being in Denver was but a dream. Well, dream come true. I think it will be a success.
I only watched two full Oregon games this year but I remember watching him in Auburn and thinking it'd be awesome if he became a Bronco! Having watched lots of Duck football do you think Franklin has WR1 potential?
Zach will not be on the roster next year I think because Bo Nix will become great with Sean and the Broncos.

Ben, the national media, and all too often, the Denver media, seems down on the Broncos, pretty much always and without cause. Right now I expect to be low on power rankings and such because there are a lot of unknowns for us. We _think_ the evidence shows we have a really good WR group, for instance, but it isn't full of a lot of proven guys. One site I usually enjoy which breaks teams down, said Denver might have the worst QB room in the league. That's just nuts. But I was expecting a lot of negative. Mostly his position breakdown was a lot of question marks. So all these pundits think a question mark means a negative. Honestly, that's why I love your channel so much. Here we find optimism and hope and belief. Thank you.
That means a lot man! I completely agree that giving our QB room a 32 grade just frustrates me- I'd rather they leave it "TBA" or something like that. I'd almost guarantee that Bo has a better season than Drake Maye, Jayden and JJ...I still am not sure on how good Caleb Williams will be
@@SportsTalkDenver I haven't said this before, but I have doubts about Caleb Williams. I live in the LA area, so had opportunity to see CW this year. Maybe he was better last year, but this year, all he did was dance behind the line and wait for a receiver to come open. He might take off and run if he has to, and he's a good runner, very elusive. But as far as playing on schedule and on time, I did not see that. But maybe that will change this year. The thing is, the pundits discussing QB only focus on physical attributes and don't factor in a guy's ability to process what's going on around him and the decisions he makes. But those qualities are both huge in being a good QB. I think Bo will be the QB he was in Oregon.

Bo Nix was Seans guy from early on. Sean 8s a great coach and Im sure Bo Nix will be our franchise QB for years to come. Watching Nix in College, he is really good.

I stopped listening to the media. They have had hate for our Broncos for a long time. Also they just need to make stories now as they do every offseason season.

Look at as a bronco fan you can’t really say Bo Nix is the guy as of right now none of us know if he’s the guy he hasn’t even played a snap yet, Also we as bronco fans need to believe and most importantly we need to know that Bo is the guy Because if this draft pick pans out and works, of course Sean Peyton is going to get most if not all the credit but really George P, has made some moves as the GM to get Sean Peyton to get Bo Nix. He did fail on the Russell Wilson, whole ole deal, but if this works out, George P. pulled one out of his ass.

What nonsense. A “hit pot” is nothing compared to coaching players to take dirty and illegal shots at opponents with the intent to injure them. Payton should still be rotting in federal prison.
Since I'm a Denver fan I didn't follow the story close enough to know the specifics but it's something I wanted to dive into this summer! I wish they'd do a 30 for 30 on it or something. I figured with Netflix doing the funny movie about his suspension year that it wasn't that big of a deal. Where should I go to learn more about it?

If a business in a different industry had done this, the investigation would have been done by the FBI. You can safely assume that the league kept the worst of it private. It was a scheme to cross state lines to commit crimes. Not to mention how despicable it was to try and injure people, as well as encouraging young men to commit felonies. Pretty awful.

Love your videos huge bronco fan but we gotta be honest about Sean the way he handled Russ was the most embarrassing viewing I've seen from a sb champion qb. To assume russ didn't know the playbook is a slight to any nfl qb. If you said Russ freelanced or tried to make plays say that but the way denver and Peyton handled and talk bad about Russ when nobody else has ever had a bad thing to say, added we've have t had a qb that good in years so to say no nix I'd btter than Russ goes into soles football knowledge
