Who else hates grocery shopping but loves to watch other people grocery shop like this video? 🙋♀️🤣
I was in a car accident several years ago with my daughter she was in a Graco child's car seat for toddlers with the 5-point harness. We flipped three times in that vehicle and we all walked away thanks to seat belts and car seat, and of course Jesus angels. The fire department took my car seat and had it incinerated so I had to rent a car seat along with a rental car to get back home from Utah, yes we were out of state when it happened. I called Graco to thank them so much for their product saving my daughter's life and they sent me a brand new one free of charge

My house is paid off as are our cars. We are in our 60s and are empty nesters. Still both work. Kids are well launched and doing well.
I could buy anything I want (within reason) at the grocery store but I still shop the sales for weekly menu and cook from scratch. I am hot mess and am not nearly as organized as you, but I put healthy, special diet needs meals on the table every night and have lunch ready for hubby (we work from home).
I spent $97.04 yesterday and got about 17 different fruit and veg, meat for 5 nights, snacks, pantry item and hair care products. Also got stuff to make and take to bbqs this weekend (3 pies, chips and salsa, potato salad, Mac salad and fruit and veg trays). Got tea bags for iced tea by the gallon and new Air filter for fridge water dispenser.
I have a well stocked pantry and stock up on sales.
Maybe being a child of depression era parents influenced me but money can come and go so it needs to be managed correctly. I’ve been poor and I’ve been comfortable but things happen when you least expect it.
To me it is all about balance. I am always anxious that things might change so I spend or don’t spend with that in mind.
My hat is off to you for opening your home and heart to kids who need you. That also means you have to plan for college expenses and the possibility some of the kids might be home all their lives.
From a content pov I would be fascinated to see you do a pantry and freezer challenge. You are creative and it would be amazing to see how much you could do while cleaning out the pantry and saving $$$$.
Your comment just taught ME something. Please tell me how you spent less than 100 and were able to buy all those groceries? This is something I’m struggling with as i do the grocery shopping for my husband and two boys. Let me sit at your feet and learn. Lol 😊
@@lorealmoore6862 I spend $600 maybe $650 a month on groceries and that includes items for all meals. I make as many things from scratch as I can. Eat real whole foods that keep you fuller longer so we don't reach for snacks. Snacks are either homemade or fruits and veggies. I shop sales and meal plan around that. I call them bulk bins but some stores will have mark down meat, produce, boxed goods for cheap cause they're close to sell by date or the box is a little damaged. My local store usually marks down items on Monday mornings but you gotta go early to beat the crowds.
@@lorealmoore6862 I also use vinegar as my household cleaner. It's a natural disinfectant and it's cheap af. You can put citrus peels in it so it smells better. We use old towels that we cut up instead of paper towels.
You should save those bottles of hand sanitizer and just buy the big refill jug and fill them everytime the kids use it up.

Your kids have asthma and allergies why you use so much scent beads?
Scent beads may not trigger their allergies. It may be seasonal allergies (tree pollen, grass pollen, mold spores, etc.).
as someone with allergies, scent bends don't bother me. It depends on the allergies they have and how harsh the products are
Maybe she doesn't... perhaps she found them at a good price and is stocking up. Also, remember she's doing laundry for 13 people.

Walmart has really stepped up there game lately. When we go to ours it is always clean and well stocked. Also, we were in Rochester visiting family last week and we were thinking of you! Cheers! First time at wegmans it was awesome 😎
You could buy those Italian dressing you add oil and vinegar. Try those I use avocado oil and apple cider vinegar. And use the dressing to soak chicken in .
I use the Wishbone Garlic Basil vingerette to marinate my chicken breast in (also yummy as a salad dressing) It's ALOT less salty than the Olive Garden dressing. And you don't have to dilute it. I have learned that the wishbone vinegrettes have less sodium than most marinades and dressings (heart patient) ~ I also use Dash Garlic & Herb seasoning on chicken (no salt)

I totally get it. My fiancee and I are struggling also. Everything is so expensive these days. It's ridiculous. Paying bills is a struggle. All we can do is the best we can with money we have. I get so frustrated that I don't want to face it anymore. I hope things get better for you and your family.

I have written a few times and I want you to know that I Love your videos and I'm glad that you shop for your family the way you choose to. I'm on disability and I get $234 a month in food assistance. I would love to go to the grocery store and get the things I need without worrying. I shop carefully and keep a close eye on my calculator 😅. You know what your family needs and wants. I thank you for sharing with us and again I enjoy your videos and look forward to them.
My husband gets SSI and we only get $397 in food stamps we are a family of 3 it's not enough to feed us

My dear Mum used pink Olay fluid….used to be called Ulay….til she died at 97. Her skin was still lovely and smooth and soft.😍
That stuff was incredible! I think they still sell the beauty fluid but it's nowhere near the same. Think they changed everything to match the rest of the world..

Not asked for info😂😂but when putting meats in the bag, only do 2 and put them back to back so they can scan thru the bag, then flip it and get the other package. I'm jealous of your shopping. i just like to shop. I don't need the food necessarily, just like to shop lol and get ideas. Have a great day, everyone 😀

I also do that. Keeps them from taking them out of the bag and getting ick everywhere
More than one meat in the bag will make it harder for the cashier to scan the bar code and there job is hard enough.
Plus make sure the bar code is to the open end of bag.

Finding things at Walmart can be tricky sometimes.
I’ve found their app to be VERY helpful.
If you open the app while INSIDE the store…
then use the search bar to look up the item you want…
it’ll tell you exactly where the item is located (in the store you’re shopping).

Do u get the costco sale mailer every month? Olay is so much cheaper there and mostly come in larger size or a 2 pack.
I don't have a costco but a sam's and I have learned to buy my Olay skin care products at Sam's club~ I use the vitamin C one and I get 2 large jars for the price of 1 at Walmart
Alicia, I’m not sure how you make your olive grade chicken but I make it too and I use the light dressing. It makes it less oily and it doesn’t have as much salt. Just an idea.

Usually most Walmarts have a fancy baking supply section by the party supplies that might have more sprinkles.
Also in the bulk section where u got the large jelly, you forgot to grab the large taco seasoning that u were looking for last week. 33:39

What a clean and well-stocked store that is! Everything is always well-faced off and so tidy. Kudos to the Managers and the Restock teams as I know a lot of hard work goes on behind the scenes as well as on the shop floor.
They work round the clock any day or time I’m there. Definitely impressive!
The Walmart near me is always dirty, even though it's not in a sketchy area. I have to order online, it's that bad.
Hello, it might be more economical to price compare household toiletries and cleaning items before shopping Wegmans, Walmart, or Amazon. For instance, those individual Purell Sanitizer sprays are less expensive @AMZ when purchased in packs of 24, 36, or 48. They offer several variety packs with different scents to satisfy individual preference. Great buy on those Clearance Washcloths. The quality is better than the bundled ones.
If they are the same brand you can just swap the paddings of the booster seats. So Harlee can still have a pink one.

My sister and I swear by Kontos Pizza Crust. It is not often on the shelf, so whichever one of us finds it, we stock up. They freeze well.

I’d buy the bulk aluminum foil, freezer bags & sandwich bags from Sam’s club or Costco! Much better buy
To lessen transfer of raw meat into your produce, try getting a bag first and loading in the bag prior to putting into your cart on top of your produce. Also another handy trick I heard was taking a picture of inside of your fridge and pantry prior to going to the store incase you forget something
I bought chocolate milk mix at Kroger's it was the cheaper brand and i also bought the Hershey's syrup $2.00 difference guess which tasted better?

I too get "pink eye" from allergies. I use a lubricated eye drop at night and an antihistamine eye drop during the day, and I take claritin daily. I hope hiis allergies get better as he gets older, its no fun. I always love shopping with ya! 😊

It’s a really well stocked supermarket. I’d hate to unpack all that especially as you have a small kitchen at home.
If you have the Walmart app, you can type in what items you are looking for and the aisle that it's in will be there.
How can you have lived in Rochester for so many years and not realize Zwiegles is a Rochester company? Anyone that has moved away from Rochester makes pilgrimages to get some of these wonderful dogs.

Just incase you should see this Alicia could you give us your opinion on the handheld vacuum. I've bought a couple over the years and they've been awful, but I'd definitely get another if I knew it was going to do the job. Best wishes from Northern Ireland.
I bought the Dirt Devil (HUGE hunk of junk~I wanted it for vacuuming my 2 flights of stairs (total 12 steps) the motor got so hot it literally burned me~ took it back. Then I bought the Shark UltraCyclone Pet Pro Cordless Handheld Vacuum, CH950 for $89.94 from WalMart like the one Alicia bought ~ DO NOT waste your money. Worked great for about 2 months then just stopped sucking. I threw it in the trash as I had to pay to send it back to the Manufacture ($49.00) ~ I bought the Hioha Handheld Vacuum, Car Vacuum Cleaner Cordless 9500PA Powerful Suction, Portable Hand Held Vacuum with LED Display Multiple Accessories for Car,Office and Living Room Cleaning -Silver for $26.97 from online Walmart have had it for about 6 months and works amazing! Best little handheld vacuum I have ever owned
