The Takeaway : I first saw Chad Focus' billboard up in Times Square NYC back in 2017-2018 and I was asking myself "Who is this guy?!?", knowing that it wasn't a regular thing for someone to have one. Even more recognizable artists I knew didn't. Then the story broke, he was arrested and it was written off as a scam. Little did I know this guy is the smartest person in the room. 3k per song doesn't matter that much, what really matters is how many difference listeners does that artist have, and bots must be from high quality mobile proxies or residential. Obv don't hit 100k streams on new artist, but first warm up.

Nothing new. Prince became the "artist formerly known as" so his label wouldn't earn on his likeness. He can rebrand and become the "artist formerly known as chad focus" and beconsidered a new artist. I think it makes more sense to get the money and be able to create freely, rather than relying on becoming a household name in hopes of becoming rich. You want to become a household name so you can be financially stable. If you can do that without having to play their game, I'm all for it.
@iamNard410 Prince changed his name because of ownership purposes not just because they were making money off his image but also more than him off his catalog and yet even he realized that him changing his name hurt his own sales even being a household name. So what you think it's done to Chad? Guarantee if you asked him he'd rather hit the reset button than to be known as a professional scammer instead of an ARTIST.
