I grew up in Kingston, Ontario. Used to come across the border in late 80s and early 90s. Being a musician, I hit the record stores there...there were two, one was called Tape World. Last time I was there was about 30 years ago. Us Canucks close to the border definitely stop there.
Grew up going to this mall still go every once in a while when I'm up there I miss it. It used to be crazy busy. There's a lot of stores that constantly open and close but it's a big part of life in the area ther3 isn't much to do in the carthage/watertown area so a lot of teenagers have the mall as their main hangout spot
I walk there when the weather is inhospitable. Sorry to say, but I rarely buy anything. Watertown is a remote community, and really needs an indoor venue like that. Syracuse is a full hour away. Sorry to see such a high vacancy rate. It's a sad slow death that no one can figure out how to reverse.
You should check out the (pretty much dead) St. Lawrence Centre "mall" in Massena NY. Opened in 1990 and is now down to a JcPenney and a Maurices... and that's pretty much it. About 90 minutes northeast of Watertown.
@@MrDj-rl2ef downtown in the square has some nice stores the mall is dying, dicks just open the new store by, target, Burlington leaving for the former tj maxx, I wouldn’t be surprised if pyramid dumps the mall like they just did in Plattsburgh.
I grew up just outside Watertown. You should have seen this place when it opened in 86! Screaming busy. This is a mere husk of what it once was.
I remember when this mall was n full swing
Great video Alex! This mall screams 90s!
Spent a lot of time here as a kid. Was such a fun place to hang out in the winter in the 2000s. Thanks for the vidya
Mall original anchors was hills, sears chappells JCPenney steinbech and Montgomery wards was added on few years later
Core memory unlocked with that list😢
Nostalgia

@@MrDj-rl2ef depends on your budget. If ya wanna save some money I'd suggest Burlington in the mall. If price ain't an issue. Id say kohls or TJ Maxx
