- Well, here it is. My first year as a virtual assistant. I share what I earned month-by-month, where I found clients, the tough lessons I learned, and where I'm going next.
Please keep in mind that this is MY personal experience and I do not speak for all VAs. I'm sure there are people who have made less and some who have made more in their first year.

This was a lot more realistic than all the videos telling me I can make $8,000 my first month being brand new. Lol

What is your opinion on all these sites like fiverr etc on where you can register as a freelancer and supposedly find clients?

this is great motivation but I do want to ask, how do you advertise blogging as a va? It’s something I want to offer along with copywriting but I’m not sure how to advertise it or how the process works? Can you share insight ?
Answering as someone who has hired people to write blog posts for me for anyone else who may come along, here are some specific blogging services you could offer: Blog research, Article Writing, Blog formatting. While some people may want you to write an entire article from start to finish, others might break the steps down more where for example one person is just writing articles and submitting them via Google Docs and someone else is formatting those articles for publication - adding headings and photos, adding keywords for SEO, etc. Personally I like to do the research and photo finding myself and write an outline of the article, then have the writer write the article according to my outline, then I edit the article after it's written. Although I will say these days I am using Chat GPT for that writing step. 😬 So as a VA you may want to focus on skills someone can't do with Chat GPT, such as formatting articles for publication.

Where did you learn how to do website designing? I really want to learn how to make creative content and website design.
I originally learned in a college class to be honest! Everything else has been self-taught though. It's pretty easy once you start playing around with websites. I would recommend UA-cam videos and of course, getting your own website and playing around with that!
Good very informative videos. There are tax write offs...like all your computer equipment, legal fees, accounting fees, a portion of your overhead...like rent and utilities (office)...
But it's good you are being conservative. You just don't mention those upsides.
