After slumber interrupted last night, I pursued THE REST OF THE STORY(as the great Paul Harvey would say) and I wasn't disappointed. Sam Dann outdid HIMSELF and gave the mecurial voiced Mercedes some of the best lines ever written on our beloved show. I've saved this one and hope it isn't as prescient as I sadly feel it might be. May everyone sleep well awaken to the sweet songs of our feathers friends and the soothing warmth of 'ol King Sol.❤
02-15-24 Listening from Southern Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦, 43* N. (as opposed to my second home, far away on another planet). I’m snuggled up nice and warm - we’ve had snow last night and most of the day. I’ve got toasty feet with wool socks on my tootsies, and looking forward to our story tonight. Love Norman Rose’s voice ! I raise my small glass of good cheer to all, and hope everyone sleeps well ! 🙏❤🫠

Don’t throw it away…
This one was very clever, sort of a radio version of "Planet of the Apes" themed. And Mercedes voice is unmatched.
What was the original date aired?
The original date was February 15, 1977.
If you want to have a bit of fun...if you know what the actors look like, try to put different images to their voices anyway.
