Im from Los Angeles. House music had to make a long trip to europe and come back prior to getting traction in L.A. back in 89 90. Both European and American had a strong following.

in my own opinion this should be played at every Ultra, every Tomorrowland, Every E.D.C. This really is where we started...back in the early eighties...yes I said "we" because the house has grown through us. This really is reverence for house music and we need to remember that there can't be a present without a past. We need to remember Chicago and the early 80s DJs where it all started with Frankie Knuckles and such. The power of house started in Chicago with humble beginnings and barely any money. Yet the feeling started there. This is how the joy we know as house today started.

Well, it started in New York and Detroit and Chicago and all through the east coast. From the ashes of Disco came Hip-Hop and House & Garage. Remember that Frankie was a New York boy, best friends with Larry Levan. They worked the NYC club scene of the 70s before Larry got the Paradise Garage. Then they built the Warehouse for Frankie and he moved to Chicago. Just like Jazz before it; it sprang from a national culture. But yes, Chicago was the birthplace of the original House music; no doubt. I was there in the late 80s visiting my mother. I remember listening to the Hot Mix on the radio and just LOVED it !!! *whew* FIERCE I was too young to go to the clubs. :(
