1) He will be Captaining India some day (positivity, check; fearlessness to talk to bosses, check; intimidating opposition, check)
2) He is in a very good frame of mind now.

We can notice that where virat / Kane was not able gain up their team's performance there shreyas has done superb job as captain .. he gain lot of knowledge from pointing and the other.

@@reine2212 I agre that he cannot be MSD's replacement,nobody ever can. But I'll disagree with you. Before 2018 he was really struggling to be a permanent member in the team which is why he took his time but now look at him. He plays a lot more responsibly and not really for records and runs. He can bat at any position for the team and ripe rewards for the team and has done great even at No. 5.

Playing Natural Game is necessary but Shreyas made most of his opportunity. That's the reason he has cememted his place even in T20s.
As a cricket fan I always see something very different in shreyas whenever I see his play I only get one thing that is the man who will make his mark in indian cricket..... it was a shame in the first place itself. in his debut series vs srilanka Shreyas had scored 88 and 70. still he got dropped from the South africa tour and there on failure of middle order started. the people who are showing sympathy for raryudu after world cup sayin he deserved. Even he was nothing in front of Shreyas iyer. he bossed the domestic and Ind a games during that 2018-19 phase. he always deserved to play for india

Shreyas iyer what i noticed in the Series vs Nz is that he has all the gears . he can start hitting from the 1st ball but can also defend and counter swing the way he did al the 3 odi's. this guy is a fighter from what i see. he has short ball problems but he fights out and played better in Nz compared to aus series .at the same time all great players have some flaws in shots. its fine. the potential he has he will soon play for india in Tests. Its just a question of when

He had a slight setback after his injury; Iyer missed on T20 World Cup playing chances, lost DC captaincy. But it's never over. He just made his test debut and already scored century and fifty. He, surely, has the potential to become the next big superstar & captain in Indian cricket but he has to work a little bit on bouncers. Iyer seems to premediate - giving room while trying to smash through offside - shots. We have hardly seen him playing pull and hook shots.
