Hands down my favorite male group of ALL TIME! Commissioned was a HUGE part of the soundtrack my middle school and high school years. They inspired so many other groups and singers, both gospel and secular. Love these guys forever! 💯

All in love of course... fred and I (Mike-E Wright) and a guy named Joey Bruce (on drums) were playing for the Winans (the testimonial singers) back then. Since fred and I were room-mates on the road we talked about putting our own thing together. He said he knew some guys that could sing and I told him about Mike brooks who was a part of my dad's jurisdiction back then. We got together one 4th of July and instead of playing ball we all went to Mike Williams house and #COMMISSIONED was born in his basement! So your almost right...! But the names of the 7 fellas in that basement were and always will be...Mike Brooks, Fred Hammond, Mike-E Wright, Mitch Jones, Keith staten and Karl Reid! One love bruh!

When I was a young man, I never missed a commissioned concert when they came to town. I missed every winans concert for them. This is the most underrated gospel group of all time!

I 've loved these guy from way back and I just turned 56 so that should tell you how long the Lord been blessing there singing ministry people use to ask me who is that you listening too ? man they are and always will be great in my book!
My sister church Community Baptist I in 2005 in North Plainfield New Jersey sings all of their songs my daughter would go to church with her and grand kids while ,I was the hospital and I was sent to the nursing home for Phyical threaphy to walk again in Elizbeth Plaza Rehabilatation Center (Wheelchair bound) moved back to Michigan July of 2006 to start life on raising my daughter who was 11 years old living with me in our home in Inkster Michigan together again , We went through, but God was with us every step of the way. My daughter is now 22 and I have recorded my daughter with the songs I have written was at the age of 12 and now I have grand children and I am still copyrighted and still writing gospel lyrics for recordings with my Llc SkyDream Lyrics Production,Llc

They ALL have such distinct recognisable voices when they lead and create classics but blend so we'll. The lyrics are so well written and relevant... even now. I love Commissioned so much🥰🥰😍😍😍! I miss them singing as a group! I think a few are gone. Fred, Marvin, Keith and forgot the other members are still here but 1 did pass in the early 2000s. My mother's granddaughter hipped me onto them. Whew🙌🏾🙌🏾!
You will understand my statement if Commissioned changed how you worship or listen to music about God: I sometimes don't want to share Commissioned with anyone else for fear that persons won't appreciate their gift or handle their music well. You can't listen to Commissioned and just move your head or break out with a praise dance, but all kinds of emotion are invoked and you want to tell everybody what they are missing if they don't know the Father in Heaven. Commissioners will understand my comments. All glory to the Most High, I AM.

Commissioned is by far my favorite gospel group ever, these men are truly being used by the Holy Spirit and have a gift that's unprecedented. May the Lord bless them always. I love Commissioned so much🥰🥰😍😍😍! I miss them singing as a group! I think a few are gone. Fred, Marvin, Keith and forgot the other members are still here but 1 did pass in the early 2000s. My mother's granddaughter hipped me onto them. Whew🙌🏾🙌🏾!
You will understand my statement if Commissioned changed how you worship or listen to music about God: I sometimes don't want to share Commissioned with anyone else for fear that persons won't appreciate their gift or handle their music well. You can't listen to Commissioned and just move your head or break out with a praise dance, but all kinds of emotion are invoked and you want to tell everybody what they are missing if they don't know the Father in Heaven. I rarely comment on UA-cam videos but for I have to give my brothers their props. Commissioned is by far my favorite gospel group ever, these men are truly being used by the Holy Spirit and have a gift that's unprecedented. May the Lord bless them always.
