Same. There is real meaning and emotions behind the song and lyrics. 2pac was an amazing artist, love his music. The picture he painted wasn't always pretty but it was a soulful truth.
What’s really amazing, that “changes” stands the test of time, 2Pac truly left an incredible impact on the world 🌍 and hearing his music in the black lives matters, the people have not forgotten about him, he’s one of the greatest rappers of all time. Gone but not forgotten.
Only you can listen ,feel pain and hope there is a heaven for us sinners too , a place for us too where we will see Tupac again where one doesn't have to say dats just the way it is being in pain
Tupac Shakur was wise beyond his years and such a beautiful soul from the inside out. Young Shakur was taken way too early 🙏 Rest In Peace ❤ brave soldier!!
Tupac Shakur knew for his young age how the world and many people work. he knew how to verbalize it perfectly and turned it into beautiful lyrics. He was so talented!!
I'm Japanese and no familiar with the theme in his songs, but he has big power to change my mind something different, to good way. I never expected at all how strong feeling I had till listening to his soul. R.I.P 2pac.
When the whole Tupac Biggie East vs West thing was happening I was a lil bit older and I watched my nephew and his friends emulate these guys... I never thought they would leave any kind of legacy in music or anything else... And I didnt start looking into the whole story untill many yrs after they both passed and the gangsta rap thing ran its coarse... I gotta admit I was wrong... They both were extremely talented in what they did and Tupac is probably one of the most polarizing figures not just in rap but in general... This song has such a great msge and such a rapid fire delivery.. That I think you would be hard pressed to find anyone who doesnt like it..
whos here in 2025?? I came here because I posted these lyrics as a facebook status on New Years Day 12 years ago.. I saw it today and realized I shoulda listened and made those changes back then and my life would probably be a lot better. But heres to making real Changes in 2025!! 🎉
Sttill hurts to this day they took my hero away! I was only 14 years old when he passed. His mission is still completed he'll never imagine what his impact will leave on people and our culture. Thank you for everything Pac Rest in heaven king!!!♥️✊🏾
Thank you for everything Pac. I can always count on your music to make me think about not actually wanting to kill myself. I truly wish you were alive just so you could see how many people love and honor your legacy.
The sad thing is that the news reporters made so much money because of this whole Tupac and biggie war. He even said it in one interview, “the longer the story the bigger the check will come in”
Tupac has a wide appeal. I didn't grow up black or in poverty (although I would eventually become homeless and live on the streets for years, even in East St. Louis, after discharging from the Marines). Still, he speaks to me and countless other races on songs like this because the subject matter is universal. Did his music make a change for the better? Yes and No. Changes changed nothing (yet) if you look at the big picture here in the US. Not because it wasn't a great work but because the issues it addressed require direct action at all levels of society. There is nor ever was a war on drugs. It was a name the policies and actions didn't live up to. There was a police response to drugs and drug trafficking, it wasn't a war though. Modern war requires the complete mobilization of an entire nation--its economy, its people, its government, everything, working in tandem to overcome a common enemy. There WILL be a war on poverty. There WILL be a war on broken systems (like the one we all have to deal with at the moment). It's easy to convince people poverty must be eliminated, but has so far been impossible to convince the majority required to wage a proper war against it. Not the phony kind of war that the war on drugs claimed to be. But a real war like the one that put our entire nation into the same shoes, a war like we fought in Europe and the Pacific in the 1940's.
“I gotta stay strapped, cuz i never get to lay back, cuz i always gotta worry about the pay-back (revenge/retaliation) some buck that i roughed up way-back (Orlando Anderson), coming back after all these years (matter of few hours) Rat-a-tat, tat, tat, tat, (September 13, 1996)..that's the way it is” Very prophetic that last line, almost eerie. RIP GOAT.
2024 and the message of this genius resonates stronger than ever, RIP Tupac.
still bumping in 2023. long live the legend. i tear up everytime i play this. frfr.
