The NAD may be slightly brighter and the Audiolab slightly warmer, but they're so close I can't be sure. The NAD sounds better here than I remember, 'cause it was my least favorite of the three NAD amps in other comparisons. The more I hear the Audiolab, the more it grows on me, 'cause it just has a very natural tonality. But, with no tone controls, that's a deal breaker for me, 'cause I won't buy any amp without them
To me this is a typical NAD signature, often described as "low-frequency emphasis affects tonal neutrality" and "2 fisted sound". Running a NAD C326Bee amp (10+ years old now) and it's not that different, soundwise 🤔 I like NAD, but it's like every song is recorded in the same studio, no matter what speaker used. That said, the more 'natural' Audiolab grows on me a lot, like DM commented.
Very useful comparisons. Thank You very much! Maybe You can make a comparison of Denon DRA-800H and Yamaha R-Н803D? For testing using USB ports and FLAC or WAV audio files (not DSD).
I went back and listened to a few of you comparisons on different systems and headphones and to make a prediction on really close units like this is very difficult its probably going to come down to personal taste, I like both these amps sound I just find the NAD would be a better buy for the BluOS alone.
Very good comparism between a digital and a class AB amp. I thought, there might be a hearable difference, but for me it's not. I like your tests. They show the truth and take the magic away from some amps as they just do what they are supposed to: Amplifying without adding any sound signature.
Hi, what do you use to play on both amps? because I see that you have them connected by auxiliary, is it an apple TV? How is it connected to both amps? Thank you very much and excellent channel, to know how combinations of speakers and amplifiers sound.
The Audiolab conveys a touch more energy throughout the range, I feel. I think class A/B designs still hold a very small advantage in that area. And deep bass weight as well. I think it's a drop more pronounced in the midrange than most other amps too.
Sonically ? Difficult to really tell with a youtube video but if this is a fair , equal, representation of both units the Audiolab is , for me, the cleaner sounding of the two units, the definition easier to follow, the NAD doesnt sound bad, just a bit out of its depth.
My boom box level Denon m38 amp blows both amps out of the water. That little Denon box is rated 6 ohms, and drives Dynaudio Emit10s like a dream. I returned Audiolab, NAD, Yamaha amps almost immediately. (Kept the NAD CD player, which brings an absolute improvement to the overall sound). I wanted to like that beautiful Audiolab box, I must admit. I would buy one, gut it out, and put the Denon in there-to have sound and aesthetic value at the same time.
@@Gadgetdad007 Get a hold of the Denon m38 and a Dynaudio Emit, and try for yourself. I ended up upgrading to Rotel a11 to get a bit more tightness, detail and definition in the bass, by sacrificing some of the oomph that the little Denon provided. Also Rotel produces some sibilance. Audiolab was lifeless and Denon 800 and 1600 were constipated. Oh, the Arcam had a veil over all the frequencies. I didn’t try Musical Fidelity, Iota or Atoll.
I own both. The NAD is the clear winner simply because BluOS is miles beyond play-fi. No more discussion needed. The NAD has quite a bit more power when not level matched. Also nice phono stage. Tone controls. A/B speaker output.

heard them both in PERSON and I personally prefer the NAD.
I like Audiolab but NAD plays deeper so I prefere NAD in this comparison.
Does the Audiolab 6000A have enough power.
Please check the C368 vs Pm7000N in the same price range also.Thx.
thanks, I will do shortly, keep supporting me~
B for me, but don't like the sound of the kef speakers, they seem to be restricting the overall sound

I like the NAD more, it's more bright, warm but not overly, the audiolab sounds abit fatigueed, like an old man who is running and is tired:).
How good is the pm7000n? Alternatives?
Which one did you prefer E Project?

thanks,
Please intro marantz 40n vs marantz pm7000n. Thank you.
Nad is more fuller, Audiolab is thin.

In my opinion audiolab 6000a the winner

Both nice amps here, to my ears at the moment at least, the Nad c338 hits a little harder on the leading edge's.
i like the audiolab’s natural sound. the nad has too much bass(bloated).

I like the Audiolad
Audiolab sounds more natural and pleasant. Is Rega Brio (vs Audiolab 6000A) a possibility? Thanks for the videos.
thanks, I do not have Rega Brio right now, However, let me try to get this later, ~
Could you do a soundcheck on Magnat Tempus 33?
thanks, noted~
Audiolab has a better sound stage. As much as I like NAD every song feels like it has been recorded in the same studio
Nad winner 🏆
Please do Rotel Mitchi X3 vs. NAD M33 please! thanks in advanced
Audiolab :)

Stop telling lies 🤫

Nad ,mais les 2 sont bons
Velato l' audiolab, più trasparente il nad , mi piace il nad
Soundstage, musical separation and precision is better with AUDIOLAB. NAD sounds like Marantz.
1. Song Audiolab, 2nd Song NAD

I also heard the NAD C388 up against the Rega Brio and preferred the Nad. Vocals were more open and lifelike. Sounded really good.
Arcam sa10 or sa20 win! 😁
Thx! 🙏
Audiolab
Type of music isn't correct to test these amplifiers....
😢
Not much of a differens as usual. Amps often sounds the same.
