This is not an easy fly to tie, time consuming compared to others. I would really not be enthused to tie 20 dozen, even for a customer. But, I agree with you, it is a great effective paternity. I just added you to my subscription list! Thanks.
You should try a toenail clippers to cut the wire with, they are cheap and do a good job of it on the tying bench. Save the edge on your scissors. Alls try putting your UV resin on a sticky pad, I keep one on my bench for that purpose and use your bodkin to apply the resin where you need it. You will have more control and less mess that way. I like the fly, it's simple , cheap and quick to tie, so you don't mind losing flies. If you are not losing flies you are not fishing.
Great pattern a chara. One question: Every time I tie this I am clumsy with the UV resin and get it on the thorax and the antennae. Is there any reason you couldn't do the body, apply and cure the resin and then do the parts with the pheasant tail and hare's ear?
No Liam, no reason whatever,it can be done exactly as you've described,it would alleviate the issue you describe. Thanks for the interaction,slán tamaill a chara.
@@springerspanielful The Description is unclear because of your mumbling, also not clear in closed captions also for that reason, so please post material list or edit your closed captions.
At the 3:50 mark you attempt to describe the body material that you use (Is it yarn? what make?)) so I'm using this here I got it in them sewing and crafts shop but any material.... A very feeble attempt at a description.
George great tying, Iuse a slightly different version, and have had great success especially when fished new zealand style under a dry,
Cheers Liam.
I never tied a fly in my life but it's very relaxing watching you tie these George.
It can be Vinnie at times, not so when you might have to tie 20 dozen of the same pattern.
I tie my own and i am thourghly impressed how much material he is throwing on there and still keeping everyrhing tight. Insanely impressive
Thanks for the positivity, long years of practice.
Nice pattern, very interesting tying style, finished fly is great. L 👍🎣👍
Thanks a million.
Great pattern. Thanks! I substituted turkey feathers for pheasant and found it easier to work with.
Good idea, I'm sure it'll work just as well.

I use a different scissors for cutting wire,I keep the other for thread feather etc.
Some of the best wire I have is from old cassette players and CD players.
It's good stuff alright.
Very nice work Sir.

Lovely tying, How do you fish this one??
Either on its own upstream nymph style or as part of a team euro nymph style.
just wonder, nothing left of the blue wool. It was covered by the rest of the material
Does this fly work well in the Kamloops region?
It works anywhere.

@@anablakp3200 Everyone else was very happy with the video, see comments.
@@anablakp3200 I find it to be more of a regional dialect and accent not mumbling. Either way, completely comprehensible

You'll never know.
uv glue is called resin.when you shine a uv light ,shine it from the top down NOT into the camera ...
You're very critical,do you have anything positive to add?
You're a beta male attempting to illicit a response. Excellent tie
