This was so wonderful to view and the BEST way to honor Mother Sheard.. I pray God continues to console you and strengthens you.. I lost my grandmother when my son was only 3 years old. It was a difficult time for me. I seemed inconsolable until on evening I went to spend some time with my then 3 year old son. Upon entering his room he didn't look at me but was busy playing a math game on his computer. Without looking at me he said, "Daddy, why are you crying?" Mind you I had cleaned my face prior to going into his room so there were no tears. My response was difficult, trying to explain death to a three year old. But his response was life changing for me and I never shall forget. He replied, "Daddy, I know what you are saying but I don`t understand why you are crying. Granny isn`t gone she just went back to Heaven and now she is one of those people that watch over you." After hearing a 3 year old say this I was shocked. I proceeded to ask questions but the response that wiped away every tear was when he said, "Granny comes here sometimes to check on us." Have you seen her?, I asked. He responded, "Yes. And I see her now." Where?!, I asked him. "Right now she is standing on the right side of your chair looking at you smiling." He then looked up above the right side of my chair and began to smile. He slightly waived his hand, turned around and continued playing. After receiving this message my grieving process took a sharp turn. As I sat there I just began to pray asking God for peace and as I did I could feel her presence near me. The ironic thing was I had felt this presence before but was too caught up "missing her". I have not cried a tear since that evening regarding my Grandmother. And every so often I feel a presence and can smell her very noticeable smell. Now I smile when I think of her and every now and then I catch myself saying, "Alright now Grandma, don't follow me into the bathroom." It always makes me smile. Be blessed.
I met your Grandmother once... as I was walking to the offering table visiting your parents church.... she stopped me... and said who are you? we chatted plus... so Classy and Beautiful....
