- Around 90 people were arrested after another night of violent disorder swept through the country on Saturday, with police bracing for more trouble in the days ahead.
Far-right demonstrators clashed with police in several towns and cities in England and Northern Ireland, leaving dozens of officers injured. Manchester, Hull, Liverpool, Bristol, Stoke-on-Trent, Blackpool, and Belfast were hotspots of unrest, with missiles hurled and shops looted.
The wave of violence began on Tuesday in Southport after a horrific knife attack at a Taylor Swift-themed holiday club claimed the lives of three young girls.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer gave his full support for the police to crack down on "extremists" trying to "sow hate" and intimidate communities. He held emergency talks with ministers to address the escalating chaos.

Last thursday I saw a 30-something year old muslim male walking with a group of young white girls down an alleyway adjacent to my street. Most of the girls looked under 10 years old, the oldest of them being maybe 13 or 14. I'm not exactly the biggest or strongest dude in the world so I didn't feel safe challenging him in case he was carrying a weapon. So I phoned the police and reported it. The police told me that if a report was made from my call, I'd get an email confirming that. It's now Sunday and I've had no e-mail. So the police literally ignored my call, and did nothing. What am I supposed to do now - if I want to protect girls in a situation like that? I'll have to confront the guy myself next time. Which means I will have to carry a weapon to ensure my safety when doing so. I am so against carrying a knife you wouldn't believe. But what choice do I have when the police ignored my report, and if I want to protect our children.
and that's how they get you, because not only are you not allowed a firearm but you also aren't allowed so much as a butter knife to carry.

Other than the one older girl who was probably their ring leader, the rest were all white, blonde, literal children, all clearly around 8 or 9 or 10 - pre-pubescent. And it happened ON MY STREET. I think he had 'picked them up' from our nearby park. This was in broad daylight too. The police woman I spoke to didn't seem to care or think it was serious at all. And it took about 30 minutes to actually speak to someone, at which point they would've been long gone. I'd give anything now to go back in time and challenge him. I won't lie. I'm very angry at myself for being scared and not saying or doing anything. I agree with this caller entirely. What's happening is actually not enough of a response at all. It hits differently when it happens on your door step and right in front of your own eyes.
Call attention from passersby, film it, and let this guy know he is being watched.... carefully.

At 41 years old why after an accident and relationship breakdown have I been homeless for 3 years? Why did I spend 2 years on the streets? Why did it take people who I'd never met go out of their way to get me a van to live in and fund refreshing my expired gas qualifications so I can get back into work. Without these people I would be dead. on the streets 2 attempts were made on my life and I suffered over 60 serious crimes against me none investigated. I was not deemed a priority as I wasn't considered vulnerable. I hate (a strong word I don't use often) previous governments and this one they left me for dead. I don't condone what's happening on the streets and my situation isn't isolated. If enough of those who have been truly let down by those in power take to the streets too the chaos will be unimaginable

I witnessed a large group of protesters last night 6pm, in the centre of Leicester. They were people openly supporting Hammas, the police stood watching but not dispersing any of them ! There were 6 police vans parked along the shopping street near the Haymarket xx

The council refused to help me despite medical needs. The only help I got was from a volunteer at a local church! They saved my life, thank God. The Government and police response is just going to create a "Far Right". I am ethnically half Iranian and British and lived in this wonderful Country my entire life. I experienced racism up until 2000s. I have fought the Far Right physically, when there was one. I was attacked by a gang and beaten after 9/11 when tensions were high. I am concerned about good people from minorities that contribute and have integrated who don't live in multicultural enclaves suffering again. I also support the working class British peoples right not to have to live with those that do not integrate. Our politicians are not fit for purpose.

Look at colonial Britain and Nazi Germany. So many children throughout history have lost their lives due to superiority ideologies and racism. I'm not saying the young children having died recently isn't abhorrent. But racism is also an issue and has blown up following this event, and plenty of people saying similar things to what you've said like "focus on the children who've lost lives, instead of your own agenda" are the same people saying it's alright to attack mosques when the killer wasn't even Muslim, thus using the children's deaths to fuel their agenda. If we continue down this path, and do not combat it, we'll find white racists persecuting non-white and islamic children and eventually killing them. Akin to Nazi Germany.

Rule of law demands accountability. Its the framework of a civil society. Justice should be blind. When peoples are permitted to break the law by entering illegally, how do you expect them to follow the rules when they live here?
